The Philadelphia Daily News reports the Eagles, indeed, have an offer on the table that would send Donovan McNabb to the Rams in exchange for the No. 33 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and FS O.J. Atogwe.

According to Eagles beat writer Jeff McLane, McNabb "could be in a Rams uniform by the end of the day, possibly by the end of the week." An NFL source says the deal is "not yet completed," but McNabb has OK'd the trade if St. Louis extends his contract. He is not willing to play in Buffalo or Oakland.

    Interesting.

That pretty much means Suh or McCoy will go #1 overall.

I'm willing to bet we'll see Clausen or Bradford in our division playing for the Bills.

I hope that doesn't happen! I'd hate to go against Clausen...

This rumor was just shot down.

Apparently, Philly is making all of it up?

how can they just make up a trade like that? but maybe something else is going on and they were trying to bluff with another team. you know the saying, where theres smoke theres fire

I'm much more worried about Bradford than Clausen. Either way, they're still going to get killed behind the Bills' OLine.

Donovan would thrive in St. Louis, and I think he is just what they need. An experienced vet to hold them over with whoever they draft next year. He is mobile enough to not be bothered by the OLine, and he opens up the Rams to rebuild their defense around Suh or McCoy.

But I guess this isn't happening, as much sense as it makes.

Rams would win the NFC West with Suh and McNabb.

Regardless of the rumor's validity, I still think that St. Louis should try and swing a trade for either Kolb or Mcnabb. It would give them all the flexibility in the world, and that way they don't have to draft Bradford and they can take Suh.

That said if they think Bradford is the next great NFL QB, then they should grab him instead of making a trade. but how can you really be so sure when he hasn't thrown in so long? Much less played football with guys bearing down on him?

To me Suh is the much safer player to select, he is about as close to can't miss as you can expect to find...

Agreed 800%. McNabb and Jackson would be a brutal combination, especially if Tate lasted until the 1st pick of the 2nd round.

yes they do, but a trade such as this, would allow them to select the best player in the draft (Suh) and just go BPA at every pick, and have the added bonus of having a more than capable QB (mcnabb) which can run an offense and get them some wins in the next couple years.

That dosent make up for the fact that the 49ers are 3 years ahead of them in terms of rebuild, have a much better defense and Oline, not to mention the Seahawks are looking better.

true, but im not the one stating they suddenly go from 2-14 to division champions either. Im just pointing out this is an infinitely better move than just taking Bradford because he is a QB.

Like i said if they think Bradford is the next great NFL QB, they should take him, but if they feel he won't necessarily become that guy, they should trade for a proven commodity ala Mcnabb.

I think the Rams are moving in the right direction.

Trading for McNabb will be a good move for a few years, but he's a guy in his 30s. I'm not sure he'll be in the league much longer. He's definitely not a long term solution at the position.

The Rams have an up-and-coming offensive line. Jason Smith will be a good tackle in this league. They have an elite center and a very good young guard.

I think if Spags brings in someone like Suh, the Rams defense will be a lot better. Carriker and Long have the ability to be very good in this league. The Rams need help at OLB and corner too.

In a year or two, I think they'll be able on the same level as Seattle and San Francisco.

This would be so stupid for the Eagles. McNabb has been fantastic for them
