How does this prevent us from winning? No Bengirls fans were bitching when they won their division last year.
Jets a perfect fit for "Hard Knocks" fuck i wish rex didnt get surgery. i wanted to see him eat. LOL.
Its just the whiners setting up their position for the future. So if something goes wrong they can say..."See I told you Hard Knocks was a bad idea" I group them with the Madden curse people and the people who think if they dont sit in their favorite chair 1500 miles away from the stadium Mark Sanchez is going to throw a pick.
I really want to see the Ghost I want to see what his personality is actually like. Maybe we can see why the staff still has faith him when no one else does.
hopefully he doesn't want to embarrass himself on TV, and works his balls off. OR we make him look amazing in training camp, and then trade his ass.
I really hope its not hard knocks....then all of America will see what a pussy Veronica Gholston is and we'll never be able to unload him. It'll be the only footage they have since, he never makes the field in a real game.
This is a great point. Players don't want to get embarassed on the field, and they certainly don't want to get embarassed in front of millions of viewers on HBO. If anything they'll work their asses off to look good, and that's just fine with me.
Apparently, it's a lock. The Jets will be on Hard Knocks, as per Cimini on twitter. (Saw it on rotoworld) I am stunned at the number of people here who think this is a bad thing. How many years have the Jets been New York football's second fiddle? How many years have we been the honorable mention in the AFC East? How many years have we bitched and moaned about getting no respect from the national press? Finally, we have it. The spotlight, the charisma, the attention of the entire football-watching nation and yet somehow, people are saying it's a bad thing? Jeez, Louise, people! Soak it in, enjoy it!
Hey, let's face it. The Jets are interesting enough for a network like HBO to make a TV show about. I personally joined the message board because I can talk Jets 24/7/365. Watching them on "Hard Knocks" will be music to my ears. The more exposure, the happier I am.
i agree, but there are valid arguments for both points. I'm currently over the fence now, and support the Jets on Hard Knocks 100% (unless we finish 6-10 then I will bitch, and moan  )
2001-Ravens: 10-6 (12-4 the year before). 2002 Cowboys: 5-11 (5-11 the year before). 2007 Chiefs: 4-12 (9-7 the year before). QB injuries, plus Herm. 2008 Cowboys: 9-7 (13-3 the year before). Faded away towards the end, losing 3 of the last 4. 2009 Bengals: 10-6 (4-11 the year before). I don't see any correlation. He can kiss my ass.
I agree. Any fool knows that the Jets' success is entirely dependent upon me remembering to wear my green pants with the hole worn in the right buttock, and drinking my beer with my left hand for the duration of the game.
do press conferences help us win? interviews? any sort of PR? not just a dumb comment. a fucking dumb comment. it's PR, plain and simple. if it is done in one form, there is nothing detrimental in doing it in another.
Awesome. Now Cortland is going to be packed with fans who will want to be on TV. I'm still heading out there though.
How does Rex's surgery help us win? Bad idea. How does the new stadium help us win? Terrible idea. How does watching Jets games every week help us win? It doesn't, so you should probably stop.
If it's good enough for Lombardi, it's good enough for me. Probably why Rex got the surgery...his manboobs wouldn't be censored on HBO.
