Yeah whoops, the Daylight Savings Time is to blame! But man this draft is going so slow........Great Friday night, Saturday not as quick.
I'm here guys - give me a few minutes to make the pick... My day's been a lot more hectic than I thought. I should be here for the rest of tonight and all tomorrow though.
Reasons behind my first round selections - Niners' first selection: CJ Spiller Spiller was my BPA and he also filled two needs for SF... 1. A versatile speed back to pair with Frank Gore 2. An amazing return specialist Niners' second selection: Kyle Wilson I had Earl Thomas at the top of my board, but Kyle Wilson was my next highest rated defensive back. Like Spiller, Wilson is also an electrifying return specialist. K-Dub has the potential to be a top flight cover corner in this league, so it was a no brainer with a few of my top guys already off the board. Baltimore's selection: Jared Odrick After losing guys Justin Bannan and Dwan Edwards, the Ravens are thin at defensive end. Trevor Pryce will be 35 this year. Haloti Ngata is the only defensive end on the current roster that has a future with the team. Like our Jets, the Ravens have to get younger on the defensive line. To me, the Odrick pick makes perfect sense. He fills a need and he'll contribute right away.
It was a toss up. Odrick fits into what the Ravens are trying to do. He can play inside in the 4-3 and outside in the 3-4. The "other" player is far more athletic but he can only play end in both schemes.
I know...I was giving a head's up to the other GMs waiting. It's frustrating to be a GM ready to pick and theire's no sign of the GM OTC.
To be safe, I recommend any GMs in the high 20's who hasn't picked yet....forward your board to me.....unless you can guarantee me you'll be on-line tomorow at 9:10 A.M. I have Indy's (Warhound), Cowboys(Mambo) and Charger's (JetfanMack) Boards....appreciate more to be forwarded.
Me too....should be an interesting pick...since many targets are gone. GH has his work cut out for him!!!
