I have a ps2 and an xbox 360. My 360 collections is pretty small. Resident evil 5, Assasins Creed 1, Oblivion. I have a crap load of ps2 games, but i still play most of my games on pc. I notice most of you are xbox 360 or ps3. Any of you guys play anything on PC?
Used to but it got to the point that PC games were starting to be exclusively mmorpg or RTS while I love RTS I couldn't afford to maintain a cutting edge pc to handle the requirements for the newer games. I also lost my soul for a few years playing the mmorpg's. My motherboard fried about 5 years ago and I've yet to replace my home pc. I spend 8 hrs a day at a pc for work I don't want to spend more at home.
Not anymore. I still play a lot of PS2 - only because I like the college football games a lot more. I haven't had much time to play video games lately, but when I do, I'm usually playing PS3. Battlefield 2 is awesome.
i havnt bought a pc game in years. the games i want to play my desktop cant handle and i dont want to use my laptop.
I used to. Like mentioned before I can't afford a gaming computer. I also refuse to play mmorpgs because it has overtaken some parts of my life. 13-15 I was fucking addicted to Guild Wars and it was getting to a point where I never wanted to go out anymore. Yeah, pretty lame.
I'm still exclusively PC. I went into an FPS phase with the original HALO and COD, following the COD line through to the current MW2. I'll beta test and play various fps and mmorpgs, but will never pay another monthly fee again to stay with a mmorpg. I try to keep a single player game around for a change of pace. I hadn't done a non multiplayer game in a long time until a couple years ago. Since then I have gone through 3 excellent games: Vampire Bloodlines, The Witcher, and Fallout 3. I'm currently trying to decide on my next spg.
Have you played 1 and 2? I haven't played 3 because i have no time between rainbow six 3, counterstrike, starcraft, thief 1 and 2, left for dead 2 and the couple of mmo's i poke my head into every now and then. Anyway, 1 and 2 are the shit.
Like some others here, I'm patiently waiting for the release of Starcraft2. Diablo3 hopefully will be release eventually. I use to play WoW but have stopped for awhile now. I do most of my gaming on consoles.
I was big on Counter Strike and all the Battlefield series up to 2142... I felt like I was dumping more money than I should into my PC and stopped right around when Crysis came out. I JUST built a monster of a machine and it struggled running the game to its fullest.
I want to get crysis. I just upgraded from an old 2.0 ghz single core, crap ass nvidia card, and 1 gig of ram to An AMD Phenom II x4 965 black edition 3.4 ghz, 4 gigs ram, HIS Radeon 4670 HD 1 Gig video card, just so left for dead 2 wouldn't stutter and i could get better graphics out of my other games. The games run amazing now, but my multitasking hasn't seemed to improve at all. If i have one application going, it still takes a long ass time for the other one to open and get going. I'm not sure if the 4 gigs isn't enough or my 550W power supply is too low. It's nice to see a dramatic difference in my games, but i'd like to see a larger one in my multitasking. It was my first build, maybe i did something wrong.
Yeah, i emulated mike tysons punch out, and final fantasy tactics for a while last year. I really wanted to get Rygar and Legend of Zelda: A link to the past, but i couldn't find them.
There is no such thing as enough ram... The bottleneck could be your HDD's also, they seems to me the slowest thing right now until SSD become affordable... I'm eyeing my next rig w/ SATA 6Gb/s SSD drives... also, are you still x86 or 64bit? I've built several.. send me your rig info...let me look @ it.
