Jets OLB Pace sad Jones is gone March 18, 2010 - by Dan Parr > http://www.profootballweekly.com/2010/03/18/jets-olb-pace-sad-jones-is-gone
Basically what fans have been saying all along. Players were sad to see him go, but realize what the deal is and are moving on.
The fact that Ladainian Tomlinson is a New York Jet hit me just now while I read that. Then the fact that ideally we'll have Calvin Pace and Kris Jenkins both on the field for the full season followed close behind. Suddenly I feel like calling Vegas and putting money on the Jets having north of 12 wins in the regular season.
A thought on Pace. Pace was one of our best players during the preseason last year and started to play rather dominantly at the end of last season. Plus, he only played one full game with Jenkins taking 2 (or 3) guys out of the picture. Can't wait to see them both out on the field again.
Please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...please no injuries...
Unless they really hated the Jones, I'd be surprised if the whole team wasn't sad to see him go. This report is so stupid.
I love reading quotes by our players especially during a dull off season. No need to be a dick about every thread.
Hey, good post. How many of the anti-Jet media who killed us on the TJ/LT move said the players are going to be pissed and it will screw up the chemistry within the locker room and the players relationship with Rex. Players know its a business and the Jets handled it as well as could be and Pace's comments indicate that's its all good. He's wrong about standing still, we need players, but thankfully he's not the GM.
I think some of the guys would be insulted by that statement and as a result bring them closer together.
