    Thanksgiving Night Tickets

If any ticket holder want to sell 2 tickets for this game, email me at y2joshman185@aol.com.

My wife and I will be home alone, and I'd like to go to this game.

    Thanks!

I was really hoping we'd play the Lions on Thanksgiving. I have a lot of family in Michigan, and that would have been one wild Thanksgiving weekend.

This is the worst news any Jet season ticket holder with a family can hear. Hosting the Thanksgiving night game is a disaster and does not give the Jets any great "exposure."
And this is coming from a Jet fan who rarely misses a game and a football fan with Sunday Ticket who watches every NFL game that is on TV.

Thanksgiving is a holiday. This causes immense family and marital issues for those of us who typically host a housefull of people.

To get to the stadium, we will have to leave our houses at 5 pm at the latest.

Thanksgiving day is THE worst traffic day of the year. Getting to the stadium is going to be a nightmare.

Forget about tailgaiting after eating a meal like that.

With all the family obligations and traveling that people do on that day, ,the stadium will be at least 1/3 empty.

As for exposure - that is BS.

The game is on the NFL Network. The time slot is horrible. Most people are in their cars heading home during that game. That game is probably the least watched national game of the year. After two games during the day, most people (not me) are footballed out for the night game.

Jet season ticket holders - we just got the worst home game on the NFL schedule. Congratulations! Woody - you are a complete idiot for wanting this game and for accepting it. This game should be played in some small market like KC and have two "who cares" teams in it. I bet the Jets play someone like the Bills that night. No way the NFL puts a marquee team in that awful time slot on a holiday.

Holy shit. Would you calm down a little? It's ONE GAME. Don't make it like this is the worst thing in the world. If you don't want to go, there are others who would snatch that ticket off your hands in a second. Hell, I'd even take them if they're good seats.

You're missing the point. I do want to go - to every game and I have been going for 30 years. This just sucks. It's a horrible day/time for a home game for a season ticket holder.

I'm getting screwed left and right here. I"m a teacher so taking off the 4th day of school and being non tenured for the home opener might be rough enough. Thanksgiving will also be bad but I should be able to go to the game. I have already begun to text family members saying hey how about we do a family tailgate in the parking lot something different for one year something we won't do again for another 30 years. Have 2 allies so far just need a few more to agree.

I know this all stinks but we all are missing one important thing here. We were in the final 4 teams this past season. As a result we get more prime time slots which sometimes messes things up. However, I'd rather have my schedule messed up and have a winning football team then a 4-12 team getting 1 pm games every year.

You can't expect the Jets to accommodate every single ticket holder. While you may think this is a terrible time slot, there are tens of thousands of others who probably don't mind and will end up going anyway.

At least a thanksgiving homegame gives me a great excuse to get out of spending time with relatives, and a chance to get good seats @ the new stadium for a budget price.

    Woohoo !

i'd like nothing better than to watch the jets beat the vikings. beats playing them up there, which we had to do last time we played them.

i agree with joe willie white shoes and dont think he is overreacting in the least.

its a TERRIBLE game to host. creates all of the issues that he mentioned AND nobody sees it other than in the local market. its going to be a flaming piece of dog shit i guarantee. but luckily it will make it that much easier to just not go.

but then again if you are outside of the new york area as many are it means you will either have to get nfl network or not see the game.

and that my friends sucks, but is exactly the way the nfl wants it.

The best thing to come of this is that we take our medicine now and hopefully don't have another home game on Thanksgiving for decades.

I like having the Thanksgiving night game. I have family who are Giants fans, so last year the whole family crowded around the couch to watch the Denver game together and it was a lot of fun. Looking forward to doing the same thing this year with the Jets. But I completely understand why season ticket holders would be upset about this.

I hate to watch a Jet game with a lot of people around who aren't Jet Fans...it's annoying and I can't concentrate on the game.
