Love the PFT line about it "making sense" to "reunite" Edwards and Quinn. After all, they had such great chemistry and put up HUGE numbers for the Browns. Who writes that crap? My wife?

EDit - Beat me to it JetBlue.

Mortreport# To address the conversation re: any Jets' possible interest in Brandon Marshall, you can pretty much forget it. In fact, forget it.

I like Edwards and don't want Marshall...but I just have to say yes Edwards is a good blocker... but Brandon Marshall is the best blocking WR in the NFL.

    Wait, Mortensen's reporting that?

Expect Marshall to be a Jet by sundown.

Or just think about things before you post them, like when you say that Braylon Edwards would ever want to play with the QB who helped him lead the league in drops.

Show me where i said that about BE saying that?
All i did was post the article from PFT. If you don't want to read it just click your little mouse and be on your way.

Ok, so either one of two things happened here:
    1. You saw an article with "Jets" in the headline and just decided to cut and paste it without reading it.
    2. You read the article, saw that asinine line, and still, somehow, decided there was redeeming quality in it somewhere.
    It's PFT. It's crap.

And considering it's now in the middle of one of the main threads, it's kind of difficult to ignore it completely.

Yes, it is also a rumor site that quotes anonymous sources in order for various news sites to spread the rumor like wildfire as if they were facts.

And it's also a source of income so that Florio can keep up to date on his subscriptions to child porn websites.

I think it's tough to argue for anyone besides Hines Ward being the best blocking WR in the NFL, that guy might be the best ever. But Marshall's good too, and I'd rather have him than Edwards if I had the choice. But if it was anything more than a straight up trade, I'd pass.

This thread is going nowhere, and its very annoying to see it in the middle of the Jets forum. Unless there is legit BM to the Jets rumors floating around, we can revisit this.

    yahoo suggests...

...jets would benefit by signing/trading for WR Brandon Marshall. It has probably been discussed already on this board, but I think it is a good idea since the jets #1 pick is so low. Our biggest needs in my opinion are speed pass rusher and WR. Depth on both lines is needed, but that is what a second day of the draft is for.

By second day do you mean Friday or Saturday? The draft takes place over a span of three days this time around.

listen this isnt going to happen. the idea sounds good but just isnt in the cards. alright so we lose our 1st. now it is worth it for a player like marshall but what WR do we lose bc cotch isnt going to be a no. 3 and what is the point of wasting those picks for edwards for a half of year and not giving him the chance to prove himself. and now sanchez has to fine his sync with yet another receiver. and if he do somehow keep edwards and marshall how are we going to pay them. yes there is no cap this year but what about the future. both will want no.1 money. not to mention mangold, brick, revis, cromartie, harris, and possibly leon will all need new deals. stop dreaming guys.
