Boldins first NFL game is better then any game Cotchery ever had and his rookie year with Jeff fuckin Blake destroys any Cotchery year lol.

I can't believe the amount of disrespect Boldin gets here. Hes been a true #1 since day one and would be the best WR we have had since Al Toon if he played for us.

I've always been one of the posters that absolutely hates when TGG posters overrate certain Jets players...Jerricho Cotchery is not one of those players. He's a damn good #2 receiver. He's one of the most underrated wideouts in this league.

I've also always been one of the posters that absolutely hates the uninformed on this board. I'd like to politely ask you to take your emoticons and your thoughtless posts somewhere else, unless you plan on backing up what you say.

What has Jerricho Cotchery done wrong here? Absolutely nothing...in fact, I think he's over-achieved as a pro player.

The comparison of Cotchery to Boldin makes absolutely no sense to me. They play completely different styles of football.

Haha, ok. The numbers speak for themselves. If you want to hang on to your opinion that is cool. Just to say it again since you didn't get it, I didn't say that J-Co shoudn't be a #2 in the league, I merely pointed out that he'd be a #3 on plenty of teams.

Then why don't you use some information to back up your opinion. Post some stats dude, or just tell me why J-Co is so much better than Boldin. Really, all you're throwing out is your opinion.

Haha thoughtless? Sounds like you're upset someone disagrees with your opinion. Usually people learn to get over that when they're little kids. Maybe you should head over to your local kindergarten and take a sandbox class.

I did already, I posted numerous statistics and compared J-Co to plenty of other teams.

I never said he did anything "wrong". I'm not sure why you can't understand that, but I said plenty of times, I like the guy better as a person than Edwards or Marshall. Marshall is simply a better WR by far, like most of the #1 WR's in the league, and plenty of the #2 WR's in the league.

800 yard seasons from a WR isn't over-achieving unless you're Wayne Chrebet and nobody expects you to even play a down in the NFL.

Don't get mad at the numbers, you can still make out with your J-Co poster tonight.

He has over achieved based on his lack of physical talents such as having a poor size to speed ratio. He is an excellent #2 but at the same time people are saying he is as good as Boldin and that's laughable. If it wasn't for the potential year long suspension after one more off field incident and not being able to pay everyone, why the hell wouldn't we get Marshall? Chemistry reasons? I think we have enough leadership to handle him along with the fact that when he is in a winning environment he has been fine. The chances of us drafting a better player this year then Marshall is slim to none.

Sure its not a position of need since we only need a slot WR but it is a tremendous upgrade because it has a ripple effect on our depth chart moving Edwards to #2 and we are also getting younger. Again I wouldn't do it because we are set at WR and also because of the obstacles blocking this from happening. Overall I'm very happy with Cotchery but if the Jets can improve our team for the present and future, nobody who is capable of being traded without huge salary cap hits is untouchable. No one player is bigger then the team.

Chargers have Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd. J-Co is much better than Floyd. Floyd is decent even with Rivers throwing at him.

Arizona: Breaston is good, but he has been beating up on nickel backs while a future HoFer is throwing at him. Breaston is average when starting.

Cowboys: Miles Austin is #1. Roy Williams is a one year wonder. If he was on the Jets, he wouldn't be starting.

Vikings: Percy was pretty good his rookie year. Lets see how he performs in his second season before we nominate his 790 yards to be the best ever.

Eagles: Maclin was also very good, but again, lets see what he does his next yr after his impressive 773 yard rookie season.

Saints: Devery Henderson? 800 yards in 16 games, his best so far in a team that has had a 4000 yards passer last several years.

Lioness: Nate Burleson was over paid. I take J-Co over him any day of the week.

He was I believe a top 3 after four games. He had that many yards in 12 starts including one against Miami the week Braylon was traded here. He played maybe 5-8 snaps in that game. If he was healthy all year long, he was on pace to put up 1095 yards with a ROOKIE QB, a run first team, and a passing offense ranked 31st. That is still impressive.

He hasn't exactly had Peyton Manning throwing at him.

    That part, you got right.

oh yeah, the 09 stats truly tell the whole story with what Cotch is capable of.

this post is beyond wrong.... the 2009 stats? Holy shit. You attack others for their ignorance?

Is somebody actually downgrading Cotch? Are you serious?

Comparing WRs on pass first teams to a team with a rookie QB and the number one rushing game in the NFL is just ridiculous.

Cotch has shown, time and time again, that when it counts and you get it there, he catches it. Tough, good hands, excellent blocker, and yet, he's a number three?

    Plus he can return punts.

PFT on JETS and Brandon Marshall

Jets won't talk about possible interest in Brandon Marshall
Posted by Mike Florio on March 16, 2010 11:23 AM ET
Over the past few days, reports and contradictions have emerged regarding the potential interest of the New York Jets in Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall.

During a conference call with reporters regarding the acquisition of running back LaDainian Tomlinson, G.M. Mike Tannenbaum was asked about the possible interest in Marshall, a restricted free agent.

Per Bob Glauber of Newsday, Tannenbaum wouldn't address the issue, saying that that the team is "excited about the receivers we have."

There's a certain irony in Tannenbaum's refusal to talk about Marshall. Accused twice in the past four years of tampering with wideouts (former Patriots receiver Deion Branch and 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree), Tannenbaum is permitted to talk to or about Marshall, since he's not under contract with the Broncos.

And even though the Jets swung a deal last year for Braylon Edwards, a move for Marshall could make sense -- especially if the trade includes sending Edwards to Denver, where he'd be reunited with Brady Quinn.

Not really sure if this was posted and i know we have other Marshall threads but i thought i'd share this by itself to inform those who may not have seen it.
Braylon for Brandon is a no brainer for me.Just as long as Cotchery isn't part of the deal.

What I have learned about PFT is it is more of just a rumor site and taking info from other sites and putting it on his with links. Really, is there more to it than that?

I wouldn't trade Edwards for Marshall.

Marshall is more talented, but with Edwards you're not staring at an eventual suspension thanks to court proceedings. Also, how is Marshall at run blocking? I honestly don't know, but I do know that Edwards was a significant part of our run game in '09.

Also, while Edwards might be diva-ish, he's not a scumbag like Marshall.

I'd take Marshall in exchange for draft picks, but even that I'm leery of this year. There are no players of value on the team I'm willing to sacrifice for him. He'd be a huge addition, but forget him as a replacement.

So far as I know you can't "fill" a thread. I suppose there has to be some kind of system limitation, but I don't recall ever seeing it hit.

yes, it makes total sense. I'm sure Edwards is just chomping at the bit to be reunited with Brady Quinn.

next time, don't post this fucking nonsense.
