I always figured they would match the Giants and Cowboys up to open up the new stadium. The Giants opened up the Cowboys' palace so I figured they would have the Cowboys open up against the Giants. Either way it doesn't really matter to me who opens it. I do agree that a coin flip is easily the only fair way to decide it though.
I smell BS here: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...ay_first_game_in_new_meadowlands_stadium.html We hear about the coin toss the other day then the league and Giants deny it saying Goodell will make the call then we hear how they held it secretly w/o the Jets there? We earned the right based on what we did last year. This is why we never should have built a new Stadium w/ those guys.
Man , Im so pissed. I was JUST going to get on and say "here comes the conspiracy theorists". hahah damn. Who cares!!!!!!!!!
Rex Ryan should punch Tom Coughlin in the face, and if he doesn't fall over they can open. It's a win-win.
I have to agree with U since it will be so unfair to have NYG rep in ateendance but no NYJ rep. Sure sounds if true that the NFL favors the NYGs over the NYJs
I haven't read one thing that said the Giants were represented but the Jets weren't. I wouldn't be surprised if Goodell heard about the article on the Jets' site, took out his two-headed coin, and then flipped it and said "wow, I guess the Giants won since I called heads for them". If they're going to have them open the stadium, they better have a good game planned instead of letting them play a crappy team so they can guarantee they open it with a win...lol.
should've went rock paper scissors with coughlin and ryan....ryan calls rock and punches coughlin in the face
Then play the preseason game next wk and have Leon and Sanchez 'run' all over them little Giants. In all seriousness, have one team open up the preseason, and the other open a regular season game. Decide in a coin flip who will open the regular season.
