Just got this off Espn Insider dont know if it been posted already.... By now, we've all heard some creative plans on how the Seahawks can avoid sending the No. 6 overall pick to the Broncos in exchange for Brandon Marshall (the Seahawks Addicts blog had a pretty intricate one). After all, it's the opinion of Mike Klis of the Denver Post that the "Silence from Seattle" is a pretty clear indication they don't want to relinquish that pick. The Dolphins might also be interested, if Zach Thomas has anything to say about it, according to the Miami Herald. OK, anyone else? We've heard some buzz on the Jets making a play for Marshall for a few weeks now, and Michael Lombardi of National Football Post reports on Sunday that the Jets are "having internal discussions regarding Brandon Marshall and would love to put together a package of players that might entice the Broncos and still keep their first-round pick." Even something involving that first-rounder (No. 29 overall) wouldn't be too bad, considering the player they'd be receiving. We have to consider the Seahawks still the front-runners here, but the pick requirement continues to be a stumbling block for them. ESPN NFC West blogger Mike Sando thinks Seattle won't be too hasty
Judy Battista of the NY Times says the whole Marshall rumor has "no legs". http://twitter.com/judybattista/status/10495806688
I'd bring him in if we can get him on the cheap. We'd have a sick WR corp. Maybe he puts us to an elite level. Reminds me of what everyone said about Randy Moss before he went to pats.
If Marshall was really going to be brought here, either Edwards or Cotchery would be gone. I doubt any of them would be used as a #3 receiver.
Yeah id rather not have us bend over for them. Leon and Braylon is alot more expensive than just giving them our 1st round pick.
The way I see it is if the Jets are going to draft someone like Tate at 29 then why not send that pick to Denver for him, now if they are looking at Wilson, Hughes, or Graham then forget it...
Well, it's already been reported that the rumor was BS anyway, but I don't think Denver is going to trade him at all. They just brought in Quinn. Chances are, they're going to want to have Marshall for BQ to throw to. I would love to see Marshall along with Edwards and Cotchery, but it's near impossible without giving up the first rounder. The only way it happens is if we give them someone they covet, and that guy's name rhymes with Havid Darris. Thanks, but no thanks.
Just say no to Marshall, plz. Phenomenal talent, phenomenal headcase. Wouldn't be worth what we'd have to give up.
No way we can keep him j co and braylon. We would have to be a pass 80% time team to keep them all happy. This is a trade we would make in 3 years if Sanchez progresses the way we would like. Not a trade to make for your second year QB. Draft Defense its our strength make it stronger.
According to todays paper (DN or Post, not sure which), the rumour of us being interested in Marshall is not true.
