People need to take it easy on Braylon. Its hard to stay sharp when your QB gets 15 throws a game. He also had a rookie QB and came late in the year. I know some of his drops were bad but we cant judge him to hard until he atleast has an offseason here. This is the year he will earn his contract.
What a great fan! YAAAAAAAAAAY! I don't care how many games you've watched - you clearly don't know shit about this game if you think Darren Sproles is a good pass blocker, when it's one of the main reasons why he can't be an every down back. I will e-curb stomp your brains out when it comes to talking about any team in this league. Just because he's short doesn't mean he's a good blocker. Jones-Drew is a damn good blocker because he has incredibly lower body stength. You do realize he's blocking our third string safety on two of those plays right? Sproles has absolutely no chance at taking on a defensive lineman or even a linebacker unless he goes for the legs. Stop trying to make him into something he's clearly not.
Lolwat? He can't be an everydown back because he doesn't have the ability to pound it out. If he couldn't pass block, why would he be used to pass block on just about every 3rd down/passing situation (and never gets beat)? How many RB's can block defensive lineman by themselves? He does fine blocking them when helping an o-lineman And he still blocks them and prevents them from getting to the QB by going for their legs, so what does it matter?
He's on the field on third downs because his only real value is as a receiver, because as you said, he can't pound the rock. Being on the field on third downs has nothing to do with his blocking ability. Go back to your Chargers forum - I'm sure the San Diego fans that actually know something about football will tell you the guy can't pass block worth a shit.
It's difficult to call Tomlinson a dog when you consider the fact that he had 2,880 NFL rushing attempts through the age of 30. Do you think the guy was actually afraid to get hit in that playoff game against the Patriots? Isn't it more reasonable to consider that maybe he really was injured?
Lol well I guess that's what happens when you make assumptions without actually watching the games. I've seen him flip guys over his head before too.
That being said, Tomlinson will make for a nice third down and change a pace back for Greene, and a spot starter if needed.
If he's the goal line back, over 8 TDs. If Greene gets hurt (God forbid) maybe he gets 750 on the ground. I'm voting over and under.
Oh, shit! Sproles can flip guys over his head?!? He's definitely the best pass blocking back in the game. ...mainly because he's barely 5'6 and he gets GREAT leverage. Like I said before, I don't give a shit about how many games you've watched. I watch more football in one night's sleep than you have in your entire life.
So how am I supposed to feel about this now?
Who said Sproles is a good QB protector rofl? He is probably the worst in the league at doing that shit.
I found it funny when Tomlinson was with SD and I still find it funny. The best aspects of it are the "not a very good call" part and the 70s burnout with the Hit That Hole t-shirt.
darren sproles actually is a quite good pass blocker for a little guy...these guys are very wrong about this....
