Surprised it took this long.. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/14/browns-trade-brady-quinn-to-denver/ Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting that Quinn was just traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Denver Broncos in exchange for Peyton Hillis and two conditional draft picks. We've known since the Browns acquired quarterbacks Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme that Quinn was on the way out, and now we know that he's gone. The question now is whether he'll be the starter in Denver.
Im going to say no. Quinn will not be a successful NFL quarterback. Marshall wont be in Denver much longer either....
Cleveland RAPED the Broncos Quinn is garbage....and Hillis is a Mack truck, plus they get a few picks.....nice trade for the Browns. Holmgren totally reshaping that franchise in one offseason.
Quinn cannot throw the ball accurately beyond 10 yards. Unless Marshall is running shallow underneath routes, Quinn will be a total joke in Denver. They had to get payback somehow for the Jets fleecing them last season.
My thoughts too...everybody on the planet knew the Browns had to trade Quinn after signing Delhomme and to get Hillis and 2 picks is a total rape.
The picks are a 6th next year and a conditional in 2012 plus Hillis...that's a good deal if you ask me. Hillis is great but he was seldom used this past year, and Quinn will finally be in the system he ran in college so Denver basically gave up a little bit in what could be a great move...but do I think it will work out for them? no
Hillis has done basically nothing in the NFL, except of course for the first game of our demise in 08 where he just made our run defense look like a HS defense...
this should probably be posted in another thread...but i'm too lazy. nice trade for the browns there....
i disagree...despite his limited playing time...he managed to average 5 yards a carry...which isn't bad for a white kid
He had 400 yards and a 4.9 average last year as a backup...about 100,000 times more than Quinn did in his entire career. Oops..most of that was '08.
