I'd give up our 1st round pick for him but do not want to give up JCo.

    Pick one.

    Jco and a 2nd rounder

    or

    1st rounder

Just sign him, there is no need for a trade. Brandon Marshall is worth the #29 overall pick.

Was anyone else pissed off when they read that sentence. I know he's not the most dynamic WR in the league but when has he been anything but dependable. He has the best hands in New York and all his biggest asset was being an outlet on the sidelines for Sanchez.

Jco and a second is just highway robbery for Denver. I wouldnt consider giving up J co at all. Heck the only player with any trade value we might be willing to part with are Sione Pouha and Dwight Lowery.

J-co should not be on the table under any circumstances.

Yeah, but that's speculation. The Jets just want a better WR out there, they may just think Cotch will be better in the slot.

Now that Mangini is not the one making decisions in Cleveland, I'm pretty sure they have about as much trade value as B Thomas. Well, at least Pouha does, anyway.

Oh c'mon. On what planet is that happenning on? You couldn't come close to getting Marshall for that. For Marshall, they'd have to give up their first rounder or possibly Cotchry and their second rounder, minimal, and I don't even think that would be enough.

J-Co is perfect for us. He is loyal, doesn't demand a huge pay check, makes plays on the field, and doesnt open his fucking mouth.

We are still going to be in trouble with WR's. If we lose Cotch for Marshall. It'll just be Edwards, Marshall, and Keller. Need another receiver out there. Keller basically plays slot receiver which is ridiculous.

Imagine Clowney, Woodhead, and a 2nd rounder for Marshall

Anyone that wouldn't take Marshall for Cotchery has gotta take off the green glasses. I realize he's loyal, and has great hands, but you're fooling yourself if you think Cotchery is on the same level as Marshall.

I have 3 problems with that scenario.

    1) It would likely also include draft pick(s).
    2) Marshall has major off field issues and one more infraction will lead to a long suspension.
    3) Marshall is going to demand a huge salary. At some point we have to stop adding superstars who will demand huge contracts and fill in the cracks with role players.

I agree that Cotchery is the best option out of anyone on the roster to play the slot but he does his best work as a #2. That being said, as pissed off as I would be to see him go, and if Braylon can get his shit together, a duo of Edwards and Marshall would be sick.

I actually agree with you...my comment was addressed to those that were essentially saying they would prefer to have Cotchery over Marshall, which to me is just crazy.

I still like the idea of obtaining Marshall, but I'm not really sure of the cost. I'll see how this plays out, but chances are nothing happens.

I would rather keep Cotchery for the continuity. Sanchez is still developing and he needs some solid guys around him that he knows. He is just getting used to Edwards and they still have not even gone through OTAs together. Cotchery had the best hands on the team and his timing with Sanchez is the best out of any other WR on the team.
