In an article about LT coming for a visit from ESPN, it says he may be more interested in playing for us rather than the Vikings because we play on grass. the Jets' stellar offensive line and the fact that they play on grass and not artificial turf, could be attractive for Tomlinson as well. Is this correct? Is the new stadium going to have a grass field? Full article: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4987283
Damn when I opened this I thought you were going to talk about your new wife/girlfriend. Uh yes playing on real grass is more desirable.
it will have that synthentic stuff, most teams have gone away from astro turf, allthough, most dome teams surface is still harder than an open stadium
Field turf might as well be grass. It shreds like grass and has those fluffy beads underneath the simulate sod soil.
Me too, but it's more cost effective to have field turf than grass. Give it another decade and grass will be a distant memory for all teams.
I don't think people will be smoking grass on the field, even though this is the age of aquariums, age of aquarium, aquarium aquarium.
I don't understand why people think Joe Namath said that. It was a Tug McGraw quote. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/quotes/quomcg.shtml "I dunno. I never smoked any Astroturf." - Asked for a preference of grass or Astroturf This issue seems to come up every other year. I even mentioned it to the guy who has the quote attributed to Namath in his sig and he didn't even bother to change it. I guess people like the Joe Namath: Pothead myth.
