I got into a huge argument about Alston with poopy Jeaux. He's nothing special.

Hence most of the comments centering around a joke I made about a point guard on the Heat that I mistook for another guard on the Rockets.

This would almost certainly be a move to replace Wallace Wright on STs.

Sounds good, as long as he can tackle.

this guy was a Madden 2007 legend with over 85 speed and strength along with 90+ acceleration. People this man will give us an automatic 150 tackles 8 sacks 6 INT LB!!!!.....Get it done Tanny!!!!!!!!!

I like this move. The more speed we have in STs the better, and LB depth is always a good thing.

Lol I always picked him up in FA and made him into a DE in this madden went from being a 60 something overall to a high 80 low 90.

I wonder if Alston could also see some time at safety. When he was drafted, there was some speculation about that. I beleive the Raiders used him there for a bit, and then gave the experiment up. He was considered a sort of 'tweener at LB/safety when he was drafted, because of his speed. I think Rex may have him in some sort of rotational plan, with Poole? Just guessing....

In a 3-4 Linebacker depth is nice to have plus we just dropped Wallace Wright so he can replace him on st. Well just stating the obvious I guess. How bout them Mets?

Looks like the Bucs got themselves a new LB. Thanks to his size and frame, it was unlikely that Alston would have gotten any playing time on the Jets outside of ST work. Signing with Tampa gave him an opportunity to see the field on defense for a few plays as well.

Alston is strictly a special teamer. I think that's what he would be in New York had he signed.

We lost Larry Izzo and Ryan Fowler. We're going to need a few special teams linebackers.

Right. The Jets don't want him for defense but Tampa might. Sort of like why we lost to the Ravens for Brendon Ayanbadejo.
