No kidding.... Rhodes was a weak link on the defense. If he was more concerned with playing football then being on SNY and twatter maybe he'd still be here but as it is Kerry was more concerned with Kerry and Melyssa Ford then contributing to helping the Jets win football games. I agree that it was a mistake trading him, so #1 isn't alone. The reason being though, I bought into the coaches and Tannenbaum supposedly saying he'd learned his lesson and that all those secret meetings had gone well. If Rhodes had in fact learned his lesson and was ready to focus, I was ready to see him be a ballhawk on defense. At this point, who knows how much of that is bullshit. I didn't hear the interview and I'm probably not going to bother. Whether he has sour grapes or not he's a Cardinal now, so I'm more worried about who is going play safety for us now.
Douglas? Not great, but certainly not terrible. Scott? Very solid/consistent year. His play/leadership lived up to his contract. Leonhard? Now this is where you lose all credibility. Leonhard was a flat out beast for us. You have no argument here. Just because guys don't make the Pro Bowl, doesn't mean they didn't have great years.
Rhodes is pissed, and rightfully so. I don't think any team will have a fall from grace like the Cards will this year. I'd be amazed if they won 6 games. They lost 2 key defensive players (Dansby and Rolle) and 2 key offensive players (Warner and Bolden). I think he just got traded to a bottom dweller and he's pissed....oh well. Never liked him. He's overrated. Enjoy the dry heat ass gasket.
