Tomlinson to visit Jets on Friday As per Adam Schefter, after he visits the Vikings Thursday he will be visiting with the Jets Friday.
not a fan... But as long as he accepts he is the #3, and accepts a very reasonable deal, i wouldnt complain nearly as much.
Yup, Schefter just tweeted. Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: If he gets out of Minnesota today, RB LaDainian Tomlinson is scheduled to visit the New York Jets on Friday.
I said this when he was cut. For the right price, in a reduced role, I think Tomlinson can be a solid contributor behind our O-line.
I would take him as a #2 back as opposed to a #3, it would be plenty of versatility with that group of Greene/LT/Washington
You wouldn't take him back for 1-2 million for a year? I sure as hell would. I would have taken TJ back for that price too but he was too stubborn to take a paycut and a reduced role. If LT is comfortable letting Greene get the Lionshare of the carries, and isn't real expensive, I take that every day.
Very interesting. For the right price if he came in with the right attitude I'd seriously consider bringing him in.
I don't think it's a horrible move....but people would have to understand that the "burst" LT used to have...just isn't there anymore. He can catch out of the backfield....so already he's an upgrade over what Thomas Jones brought to the table.
no quality experienced back is horrible behind our o-line. hes definitely worth a 1-2mil a year deal.
If we can sign him on the chaep- I am all for it! Greene, Washington (if he stays) and LT is a nice 3 headed monster- with LT getting 7-9 carries a game. Plus LT HATES the pats, whichis always a good thing. He said he wans to go to a contender, i thnk with our O-Line he can have some success. But i have a feeling MINN might sign him cosidering they lost Chester.
Horrible? What are you kidding me? You're talking about a first ballot Hall of Famer. I'm not saying it's a great move, he obviously isn't what he once was as a player, but horrible? You have to be kidding me.
LT has said that his main goal now is winning a title so maybe its a good fit nice to see since I always thought that all he cared about was his own stats in the past
I'm liking this possibility for what he brings to the passing game for Sanchez more than what he will bring on the ground.
pretty much he would bring the same type of veteran presence that everyone was crying about losing when t.j. hit the streets. he would also bring the same type of skill set with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. anyone who wanted to keep jones should be happy if we get L.T. for a good price.
