If you can hang with me bud, you can hang with anyone. You just need to bring your A game and learn how to adjust to all players...and you will be in every game. Good players find a way to scrape up runs in the late innings while down... Your plate patience is crucial. Very good eye. Work that count, and get that starter out of the game.

Hell yea. Get that pitch count high so you can get the pitcher out of there. The lower the stamina and/or confidence, the more chance of the ball missing location and being creamed. You also lose command... Although, I only implement these tactics if the opposing pitcher is really good.
I just got this game but I have never played any previous years of this game before (I never had a ps3 until august). I'm absolutely horrible at batting except for maybe a HR by Joe Mauer by pure luck
i don't have any problem with the tactics but the only baseball game i have played the last few years is 2k8. working the count against another person would never have even been an option in that game.
I have a slim. I hate it compared to the original. Slower connections and the the HDMI ports are known to be suspect. Luckily this new one I have hasn't acted up yet, but the first one I bought did. I had to return it....
Don't envy the online play. It sucks right now, and the entire Dev team is on vacation. Servers are terrible, games are being counted, games are being dropped, or games in general are coming in as losses with errors on the stats. I started out 15-2 ( 3 wins not recorded no less) and the 4 games I played yesterday never came through until later in the day. All 4 games I won and they came in as a DQ/Loss. I was pissed. Im waiting until April to play again. The servers will be fixed by then, and I already have a new name to start with a clean slate.

Beware of online play. It still hasnt been fixed and there are plenty of bugs on the franchise and RTTS modes that are beign addressed. It won't be fixed until the end of the month.... Still the best game though...
Did they fix the throw going into the crowd and the runner goes for an ITP-HR? Shit happened in my 1st game! Got the game last week.... IMO I ike the 2k Pitching mechanism a little bit better. But the Show has better graphics and there are some things improved over last years game. I think homerun derby is a joke...I mean the X-button ? Seriously? They should have made it where you have to do the guess pitch like the option in the game. Overall it's fun, What I need to get down is fielding and baserunning...more the former. The BR I think I have but what keeps happening is when a grounder is hit to my L or R it goes under the glove... I also Robbed a HR yesterday! Shit was SWEET!!!!!!!!! I started a season...Swept the SOX and RAYS and Anehiem is comin to town....
I started a RTTS, SP for the Yankees.. i am working on my fastball, and got my velocity in the training meters up to 95,96 but it doesn't seem to be helping my mph's in game. You guys think there are other stats you need to work on to gain speed on your fastballs?
