yeah...me too. I follow that idiot on Twitter....he made mention of Cody's results from his Pro Day...and my heart sank.
When a team is on the fence between 2 players and can't decide, the player's agent could help make that decision alot easier. Chance of Cody becoming a Jet....not so much.
AlvinKeels Big Cody did 22 reps not 32 reps of 225. Sorry, it was 3rd party info earlier about 1 hours ago via UberTwitter
This really fucking sucks and depresses me because I REALLY want the Jets to get Cody. Sad. Fuck Keels!
News Alert: On Path to the Draft - Mike Tannenbaum, Rex Ryan and Jets scouts at Cody's Pro Day. They were smiling in the shot they showed of the big bosses.
This guy is incredibly overrated. When all the hype was surrounding him I specifically kept an eye on him during the Alabama games and wasn't impressed. Some games it seemed like he didn't even show up to play. Surefire bust.
What are you talking about? Terrence Cody was absolutely dominant this season. He controlled the line of scrimmage in every game. At one point, people were considering him as a Heisman candidate. Do you expect him to get in the backfield every down? The guy's job is to eat up space. He's one of the best pure nose tackle prospects to come out in a long time.
You know, I agree with a lot of things that you say, but I'm gonna have to go with Cynic on this one. Cody was one of the few guys I tried to watch throughout the season and I rarely saw him get double-teamed or even push a guy backwards one-on-one. Sure, Cody doesn't get pushed back because he's 370lbs, but he doesn't control the guy in front of him like a dominant nose-tackle would; and this was against guys who won't step a foot in the NFL. Also, Cody's gonna take 50% of the plays off in the NFL. We need a guy that either penetrates of pushes his man back. Cody does neither. His lack of speed and vertical proves that he lacks the strength to even support his own body weight. He doesn't have functional strength. Cody's gonna go late first-early 2nd.
hahaha..i dunno, man.....Man-Tits is pretty relentless....he could be Big Jenks Jr, along our Dline. I'd take that. Having your buddy ShitKeels as an agent, definitely stinks up the room a tad though.
I don't know what games you were watching. Also, the majority of the starting offensive linemen in the SEC have a chance to play in the NFL. Nose tackles aren't supposed to penetrate. I don't get why people think that. It's his job to stand in one place and hold that ground...Rolando McClain is an extremely talented player, but he was a lot better because Cody was playing in front of him. It's his job to allow his teammates to roam freely and he does a damn good job of that. NTs definitely have to be able to shed blocks and make plays against the run, but it's not their job to jump the snap and get up the field. ...and finally, who gives a damn about the timed speed and the vertical of a nose tackle?
Have to agree. As a Gator fan/SEC lover/Alabama hater, I'm very familiar with Cody and would be thrilled if we got him. People don't give him enough credit for what he does, and he and Jenks rotating, nobody would run on us.
