If we lose Leon, I want a back in the 1st or 2nd round. Any chance at all Spiller falls? I could see the Jets' FO falling in love with him enough to try to trade up if he fell.

Zero chance. Teams are going to watch some of his runs and start thinking Chris Johnson. He's not him, and probably won't ever been that kind of player, but could be a really dynamic weapon in other ways.

If we lose Leon, I would LOVE Best. I think he would have been a mid first rounder if he didn't get hurt last season.

If we get a 2nd for Leon or deal him for a 3rd, I think we should address RB in the 4th. Blount would be an awesome pick or we could go with McKnight.

    1) Jared Odrick DE
    2) Morgan Burnett FS
    2) Eric Norwood OLB
    4) LeGarrate Blount RB
    5) Zane Beadles OG

Would be a pretty sweet draft.

If Leon left, I think we should address RB earlier than that. Blount is far too volatile to rely upon as a #2 right away on a run-first offense. If we lose Leon, I'm going RB in the first 2 rounds somewhere.

Has Blount had any problems before or after he punched out that douchebag linebacker from Boise State who only got sucker punched because his coach was pulling him aside to tell him how much of a douchebag he was being and to stop trash talking and baiting the Oregon players before one of them sucker punched him?

I've read this stuff in other places, but thats a quick down and dirty recount of his past as far as football goes.

Maybe I'm confusing him with another RB, but wasn't Mayock (or someone else) discussing Best having concussion concerns during the combine?

Damn, that s*** made me cringe.

Wouldn't this make him a high risk pick then in the 2nd? If he even falls that far?

Yeah, anybody with a concussion past is risky. But the talent, I think outweighs the risk.

He is so explosive, and doesn't lose any speed when he makes a move. His vision is outstanding. Good balance, good reciever, I like everything about him

The only negatives are really his size, and his pass blocking. Nothing that can't be taught and/or worked on in the weight room.

That and he's not the type of runner that will generally have a lot of inside, concussion causing hits. I'd be more concerned if a runner like Toby Gerhart had concussion problems.

I'm mostly concerned with the history of disappointment that other Jeff Tedford halfbacks have had in the NFL.

There really hasn't been that many top notch guys though that have been put out of his system though. Marshawn was the only other one that's been rated as high as Best, and he was good for a bit, he's just an idiot. Justin Forsett has been better than expected, and JJ Arrington was always a situational guy that Arizona just reached on.

You can't really knock "Tedford backs" as a whole, because he changes the way that he uses them so often. None of these backs are all that alike, but they all found some way of working in the system of the offense. Plus, the same knock was on Tedford QBs until Aaron Rodgers took over in Green Bay.
