He has played for both the Giants and the Jets, meaning that he has a good number of years being able to kick in NY weather. In fact, one of the reasons the Jets signed him in the first place was that he had kicked previously for the Giants. Folk just came off of a 18-28 year. Eek! If Greene and Leon both are phenominal backs this year, I'll be thrilled to death. All I'm saying is why take that chance. Leon broke a leg. Greene had a rib injury. TJ got bruised up a little, but that rarely has ever happened to him during his entire career. In addition, TJ rarely fumbles. He is reliable, and he just had two fantastic seasons. I think it's insane to drop him, and I think you're all crazy for thinking it's okay to drop him.

No. In fact, before this guy came around and started complaining about Feely departing, we had discussions about how we hoped he'd resign and have a camp battle with Folk. Signing Folk was a very smart move. He comes cheaply because of his struggles, but his struggles were explainable by injury. It's worth taking a chance and still trying to resign Feely so we can see whether Folk actually rebounds. Even if Feely leaves, there's a good chance that Folk returns to form.
I also just found this in a Cowboys blog: The first part I knew, but I had no idea he was working with Chris Sailer. Sailer is one of the best kicking coaches in the country, if not the best. He works with a lot of top talent from high school through the pros. I'm glad as hell that he's helping Folk out with his mechanics issues.
It's ok, he was kind of an unfortunate kicker. Kicked for UCLA back in the day. I first found out about him 5 or 6 years ago. He runs the top kicking camps and competitions in the country, and he's done a great job as a private coach.
darren sharper could be a big time leader on defense. he could mentor the younger players on defensive signals and such
that's why we have Jimbo Leonhard. He's proven that he can make the defensive calls (because Rhodes was useless) on numerious occasions.
Seems like the owners are also operating as if the cap is still in place as a bargaining tool with the players union. All these guys thought they were going to get paid by the truck load. Giving them what they deserve helps with salary cap negotiations. Just paying guys to pay them is counter productive.

I don't think there is any mention in the F8P of Final 4 teams being able to sign UFA that came from other Final 4 teams without having to adhere to those rules. We can sign a UFA, but it has to be equivalent in contrat money to someone we lost - this rule applies to all UFAs.
