What a stupid move!! He is VERY unreliable and Feely has to be the most reliable kicker in the NFL!!! We better not get cheap and let Feely go because we cant pay his salary... All great teams have a reliable kicker... Folk would be the downfall of our team!!!

Folk has the potential to be great why not give him a chance. Feely isnt gone yet. Folk is also much younger.

Feely is the most reliable kicker in the NFL ?

I dont think he was even top 20 last season for fieldgoal % made.

Edit: He was # 19 for Field Goal %. # 17 if you take out the 2 guys who only had a handful of fieldgoals

The Op is correct. This move has made me question the competence of our front office. I mean wtf is this? Bringing in another kicker and signing him is the beginning of the end.

I just want the guy around still because he is a straight badass. He would try to tackle a train if he had to. I'm sure he would come out of it ok too. I just know it.

I rather have Nick Folk over Feely based on leg strength and age. Folk is much younger and went through a mental slump. He had a bad streak which almost every kicker in the NFL has went through. In 2007 he was 26/31 and in 2008 he was 20/22. For his career, he is 5/9 from 50+ yards which is excellent. This guy went to the pro bowl. If he was missing due to loss in leg strength/accuracy because of age I would be pissed.

If we do not resign Feely I will miss his attitude and his tackling but in terms of kicking, Folk will be fine and will probably be an upgrade. Did everyone forget Feely missing 2 FGs in the AFC Championship game?
