I don't know that, but I would bet on it Rex loves Ed Reed about as much as he loves Darrelle Revis, and Thomas is that type of ball-hawking centerfielder I'm not saying he already "IS" Ed Reed, but he's almost idential in body type and he is that type of ball-hawking safety Rex also said (in regards to Cromartie), when it comes to DB's he likes the ask two questions ... 1. Can they find it? 2. Can they catch it? He answered both questions in the affirmitive for Cromartie, and that's what he coveted most So I can definitely see Rex falling in love with Earl Thomas and I strongly suspect he will be the pick if he falls to 29 Just a hunch
Don't get your hopes up... Earl Thomas is one of the nastiest all-around safeties that I've ever seen. ...and Eric Berry is my top rated safety, so that should give you guys an idea of what I think of him.

I just don't see how he falls past Dallas at the very latest, even if someone reaches up and snags Taylor Mays ahead of him. I'd love to have him, though.

and that's great for the NCAA. He'll have a shitload more to do in this system and in the NFL and he doesn't have the football IQ. Also, the Jets better be damn sure he is a do-it-all safety. Rhodes did. And Earl Thomas certainly does... but this team isn't one Earl Thomas away from winning it all - and that sucks. And Thomas won't be around at the end of the 1st round.
