Mike Pettine was fed up with Kerry and apparently the two never really repaired their relationship. Theres an article on nj.com that talks about it... This move didn't surprise me, he wasn't performing the way Rex & Pettine wanted him to for the system and his work ethic was consistently being questioned. We had no leverage in trading him, considering this is a deep a draft, I am fine with the trade.

How would they know that in Arizona. The only people that really know Rhodes are AFC east fans, and maybe a couple of other AFC and NFC east fans. His prima donna attitude really isn't that know outside these circles. The fact he hits like a pussy cat, I don't know if they know about that out there neither.
I'm thinking that the conversation Rex and Rhodes had at the end of the season did not go to well. With how much Rex loves the team I cannot see him forcing a player to play for him.

he got benched, he doesn't hit hard, he had one good year by NFL standards, he's a pretty boy, he's always the one giving the reporter the "dirt" on the team. the 4th was exactly what the Jets deserved. The 7th was a nice touch. He got an original tender. Put it that way.
Im ok with this. Except for two interceptions that found Rhodes..not visa versa...and some solid play on teams tight ends..he brought nothing to the table at all..not a thing. Now..with that said..what to do. The answer is not on this roster right now. Making this guy do that..and that guy do this..is not the answer.

EXACTLY! I own a Rhodes jersey, but damn, how many big plays did this moron give up? How many times did we see Jimmy Leonard looking over at Kerry after a big play saying "wtf man". The play at the end of the Jags game just keeps replying in my head, we cant have a FS playing that clueless when he is out there all alone due to the fact that we blitz so damn much. Along with that, I'm still not over the Kerry Rhodes sack on Phil Rivers, the ball was loose on the ground and could have been recovered, but Kerry was to busy celebrating his sack. It still makes me sick.
