I would give a call to Daniel Manning of the Bears, second round tender I believe, plus he returns kicks. Solid tackler.

We are better a team than the Rams and Seattle, and the Bears, Miami would be the competion for him if we are indeed in pursuit of him. I think the Bears go after Sharper. JMO though

Fuck that. Bears FO announced this offseason that they want to upgrade the S position and that Manning would not be starting next year. He's a JAG.

didn't Tannenbaum say that unless something changes then Rhodes will be a Jet? One day later and he's traded. Wouldn't you thinks something changed? T

    Amen to that.

That was the fist thing to pop into my head when I saw 4th round pick.

Would have preferred a 3rd but I guess we'll have to settle for the 4th. Man, Rex must have really wanted Rhodes off his team, huh? Gotta believe Tanny has something else up his sleeve ... and hopefully that doesn't mean he is considering drafting Taylor Mays.

I think some are underselling Manning. Good speed, solid tackler, averaging almost 70 a year.

First off, I wanted a bit more for him but oh well.

Cardinals fans are sooo happy because he's "WAY BETTER THAN ROLLE!"

They're neglecting last season, completely forgetting how much he sucked. Oh well, they'll be in for a surprise.

Look how many tackles Gibril Wilson is averaging a year. Does that mean hes better than Daniel Manning ?

This is what I will say about Manning. He was asked to be more when Urlacher went out early in the year last year. He was asked to play more up, and be a factor in run support, and he was. All I am saying is this is a guy who is a sure tackler, and has good speed, at a third round price.

That would be a great pickup, and better value than using our first on Tate.

considering all the Jets need is a slot WR. It would be perfect.

Looks like we got the 25th pick of the 4th round (I'm guessing #120 or 121 overall?) for Rhodes ... wonder if someone like Ole Miss DE Greg Hardy slips that far...

Agreed. We would get a slot WR and a deep threat in a late round and allow us to concentrate on defense early.

Hardy could last till the 5th. I'd rather wait for him to fall to the 5th rounder than wait on the 4th.

Landry has played on the mighty Ravens defense, played with Rex Ryan, and im sure has learned a bit from Ed Reed - one of the best safeties in the league. IF we were to give up a 2nd round pick for a Safety, id definitely prefer one who has been playing in our teams system.

Not to mention Landry has played with Leonard and Scott before both of which would be his teammates. He makes alot more sense.

Not saying Landry is the solution, but of all the tendered FSes Landry would almost certainly be the jets top choice.

You make fair points, in this respect, it is the matter of a draft pick and money. 3rd vs. 2nd, and what are the salary demands.
