Problem with Atogwe is that the Rams have until June 1st to match any offers on him, which isnt until after the draft. If we count on him and dont get him then were stuck without a safety.
I don't know what we'll do, I really hope we don't get Sharper he is old and didn't have a great 2nd half to last season. Rex and Tanny definitely have a plan though, this front office's track record over the past couple of years show that they know what they are doing. (Get over Gholston, Tanny has done a great job)

The Rams have assigned the lowest possible restricted free agent tender, known as "right of first refusal," to FS O.J. Atogwe. The team announced the move was made "with intent to sign...a long term contract." Atogwe has until June 1 to find an offer sheet elsewhere. If he doesn't, the Rams have to cut him or pay him nearly $7 million at that point. While Atogwe's play was down some, he remained St. Louis' top defensive back. The 29-year-old is sure to generate interest and a trade can't be ruled out.
So the next time we play the Cardinals is anybody looking forward to Greene running at Kerry Rhodes like a freight train? Its really too bad he didnt man up and play to his potential.
In a scheme that fits his play style I would call him an average to above average safety. In our scheme, he is a liability.

I agree, Tanny has done an amazing job. Plus, even with Gholston..was the right pick at the right time, I don't blame Tanny one bit.

Why did they need a 7th in 2011? Arizona just got extra picks from the Ravens for Boldin, a 3rd and a 4th. Jets couldn't at least get a 3rd rounder and tell them to keep the 7th rounder?
