When I watched the group of DEs that chose to participate in additional LB drills, I came away surprised almost shocked by how smooth Hardy looked in those drill. After he's relatively slow 40, I thought he would stop w/ the DE drills and call it a day. I guess the extra weight he has put on was not an indication that he wanted to be strictly a 4-3 DE.

Thanks to nagging injuries, a sub-par senior season, some minor character questions and a deep DL draft, Hardy has gone from a possible top 15 prospect to a late 2nd/early 3rd rouner. His lost could be our gain. When right, this guy can rush the passer with the best of them. Couple that with the fact he did not look like a fish out of water like most of the DEs did during the LB drills, he could be a steal at that spot. I apologize if this was brought up before; I didn't see any threads about him. Thoughts???

I wouldn't be surprised if Greg Hardy was around in the 4th or 5th round.

In the 5th, Hardy is a great prospect. I would be surprised if he was drafted before that, though.

My issue with Greg Hardy is that I don't know where his mind is. It's been the same story with him since he's been at Ole Miss, flashes of being really good, but then you hear all this stuff about how he doesn't really care about being a great player. Usually I can block some of that stuff out, but I don't think he ever even tries to defend it. That's just the way he is, and probably the way he's always going to be.

I wish whatever team that takes him good luck, but unless he decides that football is the main thing in his life, then he'll never be much of anything. It's not like he's dumb or lazy or anything like that, he just might not want to be on a football field.

I've heard as low as 3rd but it's not out of the ream of possibility. Now that we have a 4th maybe there.
