So what exactly are your suggestions for a tandem name?

    PS

Band of Lunatics. Completely stolen from another defense.

Oh, thank you for the lesson on what this board is for.

I don't think you understand how FA works for us. We can't sign a UFA until we lose one, and the contracts have to match. Or...do you think we lose Feely and Parker comes for the same contract value?

I'm sure a hell not wasting time on free agents we're not going to sign. If we do lose Feely, I'd rather see that contract go to line depth.

I don't have anything against nicknames in general, just that one.

I'm saying if someone gets injured I don't want to rely on Willie Parker to make it through the year. It doesn't matter if they're splitting carries - if one guy goes down, we'd better have someone who can take a bigger role. We had a full-time back last year, so apparently "one guy" is able to run this offense for a full year.

and what happend to that "one guy" as the year wore on? He wore down because we over-used that "one" back. Now he is gone and are we going to wear down Greene the same way? I hope not. that my friend is the reason why teams across the NFL (Saints, Bucs, Bills, Dolfags, Colts, Pats, Cowboys,......) have 2-3 backs today. Again, the days of a feature back are gone. Hows LT, Weskbrook, LJ, Portis looking to you? Banged up and done! I dont want that to happen to SG

No,, I do understand how FA works this year, do yourself a favor and read my entire post above. That is why i didnt make a Peppers, Dansby, Rolle....thread. Willie is a guy in a need position we could get on the cheap (yes = to Feely's $730K) will a back end insentieve based contract. Also increase the next year of the contract. I'm no Mike T but either are you!

No one here wants to just go in with Shonn and Leon. Many of us are hoping to see us draft another RB. We also, however, are realistic about the FA process.

I'll see your incentive based, back end laden contract with a 2nd year increase and raise you the 30% rule. Do yourself a favor and quit thinking about UFAs for now, especially at the RB position. The class is so watered down by the uncapped year that FWP's going to get a bigger contract than you think and than he deserves.

    How about:
    "The Four Tops" (Woodhead included)
    or
    "The Delfonics"
    or
    "The Stylistics"
    or
    "The Temptations"

Hey, they're ideas; I just throw 'em out there. Feel free to use 'em.

Jay Cutler understands that the Jets backfield is above mortal titles.

Denver didn't start it. There were a number of nicknames for different team units through the years. Here are a few-
    50s Lions secondary- Chris's Crew
50s 49ers backfield- The Million Dollar Backfield
60s Rams defensive line- Fearsome Foursome

Parker's not worth having on the team even if he got the veteran minimum. The guy will be 30 in November and clearly has seen his better days. The guy had "comet" written all over him four years ago.

Jay Cutler went to sleep thinking about Free Will and dreamed about parachuting koalas.

(ok that's it, no more..please don't ban me)

He would be a great pick up in the 3rd or 4th rd. If he lasted that deep into the draft. He had a great year for Stanford.

I think he'd be a great pickup in the second round at 61. Especially since we don't pick in the 3rd or 4th.

Yeah he would be, but unfortunatley we don't have a 3rd 4th or 5th.

Hardesty, Gerhart or Anthony Dixon would all be great picks at 61. I'd be excited to have anyone of them. They are all BEASTS.
