I think people should temper their expectations of Cromartie.

Solid potential #2 who is going to see a lot of passes thrown his way thanks to Revis playing the #1 role. One of the better CBs at playing the ball in the air and a gambler who is going to come up with some interceptions but is also at risk for being burnt more so than most other starting corners.

    How's that?

I guess Rhodes has to stay, and roll coverage just like last year.

Its not like we can put Rhodes in the box and make a big tackle anyway.

If we went BPA in round 1 we would end up with Brandon Marshall. Because he would be the best player available at 29.

That said a #1 wr isnt our biggest need, a pass rusher is.

Plus having Marshall, Braylon, Cromartie, Rhodes all on the same team has the potential to turn us into Dallas with TO. All that drama could be a nightmare.

BUT on the flipside if we could get Braylon/Cotch/Marshall all working well @ wr, grab a free agent DE like Dwan Edwards, then draft us a pass rusher in the 2nd, possibly add someone like Adalius Thomas to a 1 year bonus filled contract(this is an uncapped year after all), I think the jets INSTANTLY become everyones favorites to win the superbowl.

Spam Thread? Are you serious?? Whatever dude... I was born, raised, and have lived all my life on the Shore of Jersey, unlike the Bennies who come down from your neck of the woods.

We need a slot reciever, not a starting outside WR. Cotchery is one of the best number 2's in the NFL.

Dude, why even mention adding Brandon Marshall? Thats not even close to possible. We would never, ever, ever do that with what we have at WR right now, and what we would have to give up to get him.

Anyone signing Marshall is shelling out their first round pick, and a HUGE contract, maybe the biggest WR contract in the NFL.

Everything besides Marshall is possible here, and I agree with, but Brandon Marshall is not possible, so lets drop it.

We had the number 1 Ranked Defense right? Number 1 Rush Offense, right? How about the pass offense? What were they 29th?

So you're telling me the likes of Marshall/Braylon on the outside and Jerricho in the slot wouldn't help balance out our team?

Why not just trade Rhodes over to the Cardinals while we're at it and run 4 WR sets the whole season? Fuck the running game!
Do you think Sanchez being 26th in the league in passing attempts might of have had something to do with that? The Jets already have the starters they need.
    1. Cotchery is a starter. Making him a slot WR is a massive misallocation of his skills.
    2. How much do you actually want to spend on a slot WR? We make one trade and now people think we're the Redskins.

Dude, did you watch the Jets this year? We had a rookie QB who was a HUGE reason why we were ranked at the bottem in passing offense.

We wont have the same kid playing next year, we'll be seeing the kid that was great in the postseason. Braylon, Cotchery, Keller is NASTY. We just need a solid slot reciever. And I think we'll find him in the draft.

Is Wes Welker a starter? Doesn't he also play the slot?
