OK. I thought I read there would be no draft if there were a lockout. Thanks for the info.

Cromartie is perfect for Rex's system. If I recall correctly I remember Rex likes having good coverage guys so that he can take his chances with the front 7 blitzing a lot. Cromartie and Revis should be able to let him do that.

Not a huge fan of the move, but considering he's only 25 and we only gave up, *at most*, a 2nd round 2011 (not 2010) pick, I have no complaints. I am a little concerned about his off-the-field situations, though.

Looks like DE/OLB/RB will be top priorities for the 1st/2nd round now, which, conveniently enough, is exactly where this draft is deepest at (outside of DBs).

Let's not worry about Gholston at all. He'll get cut after this year. And the last time braylon had a great year is when he worked his ass off in the offseason. He does that again, he'll stop the drops. It remains to be seen

Seriously? I see it in Revis, Mangold, Sanchez, Harris. High character guys who are kickass good.
I don't know how you can think that 5 guys out of 53 have made this team a dirty low character, Bengal team... where did this come from. Stop being scared.

This is true. Now just need to get an effective pass rusher!

And don't forget OL in the draft, LG and RT can't be ignored much longer.

it'll be like a 9 on 9 game now. That's what Rex will try to do.

Which means that the blitzes will come and QBs will have a short clock in their head.

i'll say this much - if the Jets play a team with a young inexperienced QB, he should be scared shitless.

I don't know, I'm not the GM. Tanny has shown greatness with the cap work though.

    That play was just amazing.

One big question going forward: How does Thurman, Pettine, and Ryan coach him? Do they ask him to tone down the risks that define Cromartie's game or do they let him continue on as normal with a little more fire and aggression? He's strong and athletic enough to play the bump and run that Ryan loves so much but the issue is his aggression in it. Hopefully he spends as much time with Thurman and Revis as possible.

I really hope plays like that are a thing of the past for him.

This is what I'm really looking forward too.

Seeing him play for the best motivator in the NFL in Rex, being coached by the best DB coach in the NFL in Thurman, and learning from the best CB in the NFL in Revis.

With his potential it could potentially be scary.

I like the price, but we'll see if it was a wise move.

Decent move, but let's not pretend that Cromartie doesn't have a serious and concerning injury history.
