i saw lombardi say that.i'm not sure i like that.cro gambles alot.in this defense that's not good.you got to play your man and give the rush that extra 1/2 second to get home.
but if the price is right he'd be better than anyone we would get in the 5th.

Cromartie isnt going for a 2nd round pick.

If were gonna get a 3rd rounder for Rhodes, Cro at best is worth a 4th rounder.

    Which we dont have

I'd rather take a look at Richard Marshall on Carolina who was only tendered at a 2nd round level.. he's a better, more dependable player.

Cromartie brings a lot of baggage with him, plus he's an awful tackler.

Given how aggressively the Chargers are shopping Cromartie, I can't imagine that his price tag is prohibitively high, which is a plus. While his stock is ridiculously low at the moment, this guy has played some tremendous ball at other points in his career, including tremendous performances against Rex's nemesis, Peyton Manning.

The real question is what's the price. If Rhodes for Cromartie straight up would work, I'd make that trade in a heartbeat.

Love this idea. If he doesn't cost that much, he has all the physical tools.

That said, if we bring in Cro, I'd probably want to trade Rhodes. Too much prima donna in one secondary if we keep both.

I would hate it if it was a 2nd round pick, would be neutral with a 3rd, and would love it if it were a 5th.

If the "Rhodes to the Cards for a 3rd" rumor is true, do you think Tanny could possibly be planning on trading that 3rd for Cromartie?

if this happens.. you're most likely going to be neutral about the outcome and there is zero chance you are going to love it..

  14. I'm alittle iffy on Cromartie...He's been very inconsistent. He is however extremely talented and fits our scheme quite nicely.I'll trust Rex on this one as I'm sure he makes the final call.

Cro has the potential to be a really good #2 in this D. That being said we absolutely owned him in the playoffs...not sure what Rex saw that would make him want to bring him in. Unless of course he wanted to make it a daily ritual to have Greene make him his bitch.

after watching his pussy ass avoid contact on the greene run...i'd pass. Currently we already have a priss playing in our secondary.

Guys, cromartie is good enough to be a number 1 CB in this league, If we get him and stick him on teams number 2 reciever, he will easily be a pro bowler with us. With the addition of cromartie, our defense will take that stop from good, to historical!

Idk if id classify him as shutdown he's more of the playmaking type (will give up catches but gets picks and passes defended). He'll see a ton of passes his way which'll give him a chance to make plays

If the price is right I think it'd be a solid pickup

Cromartie is very overrated, don't have your opinion skewed by his gaudy stats, he gets burned often and doesn't play physical.

He was getting burned by number 1 guys, he will never see those guys because they will be stuck on Revis island alllll day :)

If this means giving up a second rounder for him, I am 100% for that. Then we spend our first rounder on Jared Odrick and we have ourselves an even more dominate defense!!
