Otherwise, it's cap hell in the making. Rolle + a 3rd would be optimal. I really hate the idea of trading Rhodes only to spend our 1st or 2nd on his replacement.

I don't think we'd have to take a safety that high. This draft is loaded at the position. Also, we can fill that hole in free agency...the player we sign may not be as much of a playmaker, but there's no way he can be worse at tackling and pursuit.
Does anyone really think that a team is going to offer Antrell Rolle an $8million/year contract? That number is going to come way down by Saturday.

How would you guys rather have a 3rd rounder then Boldin? For me I need a 2nd rounder to pass up on Boldin.
Hes 30 and injury prone. Id rather a 3rd round guy with a future, than an old injured guy who is getting ready for the glue factory.

At first I thought the Jets would be nuts to take a 3rd over Boldin, but I think with the depth of the draft and Tanny's ability to pull something out of his sleeve, the 3rd might be better. Either way though, that would be awesome.
