Didn't see this posted and the search came up clean.

I don't know how much weight I'd give this, but apparently this did happen.

Rams GM Devaney talking off the cuff with fans, as told by two fans who attended.

of course Sanchez has "serious knee issues" to Devaney......he looks like a moron for not drafting him.

    Especially after passing on Ryan.

    Ryan, Sanchez, Clausen, Bradford.

Don't know how their fans can/would stomach watching their team if they passed on every single one of those elite QB prospects.

Those knees sure looked serious during the best rookie postseason ever.

Keep winning 2 games a year Devaney.

Yeah, drafted Leaf and passed on Ryan/Sanchize, might want to cool it on QB analysis.

But as for McCoy vs Suh, I can see it. If Spags is looking for a playmaker, it could put Gerald slightly ahead of the big husker.

To be fair, he says Sanchez would have ended up on IR with St. Louis; that very well could have been the case. He got hurt here a few times, and we had the best OL in the league.

He needed surgery in the offseason. He could have hurt himself pretty bad behind that line.

That said, I'm really happy he didn't choose Sanchez.

I thought that was a true statement. If Sanchez had started for the Lions or Rams or possibly even the Seahawks, he would've been obliterated.

The knee issues were serious. Sanchez needed to be well-protected. He was. Now the knee issues are being addressed by the best sports surgeon in the business.

BTW, by admitting that Sanchez wouldn't have been well-protected in St. Louis, Devaney is unwittingly knocking himself for the Jason Smith pick, don't you think?

This guy sounds like a clown. I wonder if the Rams will ever be competitive with him running the show.
