The first in what may be a running thing, we'll see. Who you got and why?

Jimmy C, and in my mind, it's not even close.

I chose Clausen too.....if Bradford wasn't destroyed last season, it may be closer....but right now, Clausen is the clear frontrunner.

I don't understand while a majority of us, including me choose Clausen, but all the draft "gurus" on TV are choosing Bradford.

I just think Clausen has such a higher ceiling, and it's not like hes a Josh Freeman, he's good now too.

I think the general hating on Notre Dame is part of it. What the so called experts seem to forget is how this guy has ice in his veins. He had no O-line, no running game and most importantly no defense. People forget the games that he lost and Notre Dame scored 30+ points, sometimes they scored close to 40. Even if you want to question his throwing etc, at least consider the crap he had around him, most of the games ND lost against the better teams were not due to Claussen

I like Bradford better than Clausen but don't like Bradford all that much. For such a great draft this is a terrible QB class.

Clausen is good in most areas but not great in any with questionable intangibles. He has bust written all over him.

Bradford I would like a lot better if he was a second round prospect, not a top 10. Decent arm with great accuracy and quality leadership skills but coming from an offense that doesn't translate well to the NFL. Too much of a question mark with his injury history and the O he is coming from to be a top 10 pick.

If they were equally healthy I'd go with Bradford easily. A healthy Bradford is a top 4 pick, I wouldn't use a top ten on either of them right now.I'm not a Clausen hater, I just saw a bunch of things I didn't like. He missed a lot of big plays and throws.

As an NFL ready product: Claussen.
-He has the experience in pro-style offense.
-He does not have the health problems that Bradford has.
-He is a better overall passer. Also, better at reading the defense.
-He has had to play on the run thanks to a poor defense in the NCAA so he is less likely to come out shook in the NFL.

I've never liked Bradford as more than a college QB. He wasn't that highly touted coming out of high school. He's a system/spread QB who never had to deal with the blitz until last year. He doesn't have a strong arm (which he injured last year), which is the first thing scouts look for in a pro QB. The comparisons to Peyton Manning are a joke.

Bradford is a stronger version of Pennington, Clausen is a weaker version of Dan Marino... not to be un-loyal to Jets history but I'm taking the weak Dan.

Are you talking about just his arm or his whole game? Because Pennington could never move the way Bradford can. Personally, I think that Bradford will have a career and playing style similar to Mike McMahon in the NFL. EDIT: Probably with better accuracy.

Probably?? I would say 100% definitely, absolutely, no question better accuracy.

  15. I don't think either have the potential of the 3 first round QB's from last draft...although Clausen maybe more polished than all 3. I have a hard time seeing Bradford as anything more than a # 2 that can provide a spark off the bench..I.E. Glenn Foley.

Jimmy Clausen is a better quarterback prospect than Josh Freeman. He's much further along in his development.

Better arm strength, zero injury risk, and he's a fairly smart QB. Notre Dame's offense was never the problem. This one's easy.

yeah, Freeman is a 'project' and Clausen is NFL ready.

  20. I agree he's further along...but I think Freeman has a higher upside.
