    No way this isn't Hornet.

I love Al Davis. He deserves the repercussions of giving Hilary Duff an engagement ring.

Fuck!!! We might be releasing Feely, what the hell else do we have to do to get Nnamdi??? lol

I think if we dump Sheppard and Ghost, and trade Kerry, (and are reasons to believe neither one of them will be the roster in 2010 regardless of Nnamdi talks) we can create some $$ to accomodate Nnamdi's contract assuming he doesn't restructure.

Im willing to trade a 1st and 2nd for Nnamdi

That is a terrible fucking idea. And where the hell are Gholston, Sheppard, and Rhodes going? Try thinking out your posts first.

    Good Comment^^^

I think the Jets could clear out a few contracts to bring him in---but the deal would hinge on at least one year without a Salary Cap (and a restructured deal)---as well as a new deal for Revis...something that a season without a Cap could only make this happen.

I think the Raiders would take this years first...a potential player if necessary (Rhodes or Jones)...and then a future pick.

Giving up 2 first round picks for a player like this is not much...its just when you have to give that player an insane contract---and then match it for your other CB.

Unlikely---but the scenario isn't as far off as it may seem.

    Hahah @ Madden Trades

Asomugha is going to have to restructure his contract completely in order to come to the Jets, that guy costs so much money

Other then that, it would be nice to have him but we really don't need him, let's take our chances at drafting someone before that happens, i'm a firm believer that we got the main pieces we need depth

So help me out here. I don't know alot about the final 4, and all this FA/RFA stuff.

If we plan to cut/release Lito Sheppard that means he does not get his 10million.
(so this obviously helps us correct? since Aso needs 16mill a year)

And we also need to get rid of one of our FA to get Aso?(or sign any other FA)
So by dumping Lito does that solve the FA situation, or does Lito need to sign with somebody else first?

it's a trade so the free agent thing doesn't matter. its a matter of working out a trade and getting aso to sign a real contract.

From a lot of the articles I have dug up about the extension we signed Sheppard to, the Jets have an option to pick up the $10 million dollar option bonus or let him walk. Not sure how accurate those reports were, but it sounds like he would be UFA.

so the way i understand it is that he's set to earn 16.5 million all guaranteed next year, then he gets the franchise tag number for qbs each season after, correct? i just don't see him leaving all that money on the table just to play for us.

Alright so I guess we should talk trade.

Also many years does Aso have left on his contract?

edit: after the 2011 season his contract is up.

I have a semi thinking about Revis and Nnamdi both playing for the Jets.

You probably didn't get my post. If not, its ok. I can explain in more clear words. If you did get my post, WTF are YOU talking about? Have you not read recent news? Gholston might get dumped. We won't be picking up Sheppards huge bonus. And Rhodes future with the Jets isn't certain either. Are you serious?

I only mentioned that we should trade our 1st and 2nd for Nnamdi. Maybe thats insane for you. For me, we are giving up a very late 1st and a very late 2nd rounder for a proven All-Pro CB to shut down the Mannings.

the only way this happens is if Tanny talks to Aso and Revis and tells them there is no way they can both make around 14 mill $$$ each. IF they really want to play on the same team they'll have to take a steep pay-cut... I'm opposed to them earning more than 20-25 mill in total (between the two).

If they don't accept fuck them...

As far as trade value a 1st + Sherry Rhodes + cond pick in 2011

Aso could agree to this. I assume he is itching to finally wear a ring.

I don't know what team you're watching, but Darrelle Revis deserves to get a HUGE pay raise.

If Asomugha becomes a Jet, he'll be a #2 corner that covers #2 WRs. He's one of the best in the game, but he shouldn't get a big time contract for covering #2 wideouts.
