Yeah idk how people could seriously think a 32 year old HB who has almost nothing left in his tank would bag us a 25 year old potential pro bowl caliber CB.

Im sure every single person on here would LOVE that deal, but no way will it ever happen

he looked strong all season until the final few weeks when he hurt his knee. we are all assuming the because he is 32 that means he is never gonna be the same. the only problem with that is Jones has had a pretty strange career. he didn't take much abuse his first few years so it is possible that with the way he works out that he could play another few years.

Worked out well once already :p

In all honesty the team they are taking about is clearly the Bills.

The Jets have Leon and TJ but Leon is too similar to Sproles and TJ is too old to be of value.

The Dolphins don't need CBs and Sparano is more of a tough guy then Rex (as far as how he wants his players to behave)

The Patriots don't have and RB of interest

The Bills have the perfect RB for this trade... Lynch. Just like Cromartie he has character issues adn coul benefit from a change scenario. The value is similar as both had a good year a while back but now they're not really full time starters in their respective teams... I think that trade makes the most sense. I'd be glad to get Lynch out of this division... wih the proper OL he can do damage.

Sure but he has another 2 season max... they aren't going to trde Cromartie for someone that old...

Potential means shit if you don't work hard on your craft... and nothing points to Cromartie doing that. Give me football players, not self-loving idiots...

I will always hate those kind of players... I don't mind the outspoken guys like T.O. and Ocho Cinco (I looooove 85) because at least they work hard every day.

The only thing about the Bills trade that doesnt make sense to me is I thought Buffalo had a pretty good secondary.

Werent they one of the best teams in the nfl for ints last year ? (even though to be fair they had like 6 in one game vs the jets)

I mean it would seem to me like Buffalo needs depth at dline/lbs since their rushing defense is absolutely horrific. I wouldnt be surprised if Buffalo was offering a HB as an attempt to get Merriman or something.

    Lynch is a young stud.

If they were giving him up, they better get more than just Cromartie.

Hes only 23, and has had very good numbers even with the pathetic buffalo offensiveline.

I don't care about how well he can cover because that will only get you so far. He would be a huge liability to this team if he is unable to tackle, he will become our weakest link, and teams will figure this out. Fast. Especially with the kind of physical defense we play, he will stick out like a sore thumb. Kinda like Rhodes did last year..

It is fully possible to atleast be an average tackler and great cover guy. Woodson, Revis, etc.. They are exceptional cover guys, and they are willing to atleast get physical with the opposing team.

If you can't tackle in this league, you shouldn't even be here. It isn't hard to atleast attempt to tackle someone. Instead, he is looking out for him, playing like a pussy, and hurting his team consistently. There is a reason he is on the trading block, it's not coincidental.

    ...and

That is just the football aspect of it, not including all the off the field antics this guy is involved with. This guy has bad news written all over him. No thanks.

I would be very displeased with a trade of any kind for this pussy diva.

I don't think I'll ever understand rumors like this. Why would the source limit his speculation to "an AFC East club"? Like he wants to give you a hint but can't tell you the team. Seems stupid to me.

All I'm saying is that hopefully your cornerback is not responsible for that type of tackle very often. For the most part CB's will be tackling WR's or RB's running laterally. On that play he was supposed to tackle a 230 lb bruising back running straight down hill.

You guys are right though, he's probably not a Rex Ryan guy.

While we could probably get someone with better upside in the draft, the added experience across from Revis could be a help.

Didn't we just try that added experience thingy with, Lito? Who was also a former pro-bowler?

Yes, get the kid from Boise St. We have a good enough defense and enough depth in the back to let the kid learn on the job. He's gonna be a monster.

The difference is cromartie is a playmaker and has a nose for the ball 3 picks against Manning in one game , thats not lucky. He does take alot of chances but with a guy like Revis on the other side and a good pass rush he can force alot of turnovers.

People like to bring up the point that he cant tackle, Deion couldnt tackle and he did pretty good for himself, not tryna compare him to deion but i doubt he will be in situations where he would have to make a without safety help near by.

Yah, all we need is another skirt that won't hit playing opposite Fairy Rhodes.

Deion could tackle. He just chose not to, and only did so when forced to. Years later, he still won't shut up and is just as annoying. Darrelle Revis will leave Deion Sanders in the dust if he continues on the track he's on. Woo-hoo! And he's one of ourn. :)
