Saw a thread like this on another forum. Kind of a fun topic. Basically tell people where you have seen the Jets play and, if you like, discuss the quality (or lack thereof) of those stadiums, their fan bases, and the experiences they've had there.

    I'll get the party started.

    Giants Stadium
Foxboro Stadium vs. Pats - 1986
PSINet Stadium (name at the time) vs. Ravens - 2000 (Final game of season - we lost and were eliminated. Started game 14-0 and it was all downhill from there. Kinda like this year's AFCCG!)

    CRAZIEST ATMOSPERE:

Sunday Night Football in OAKLAND (vs. Pats) the year after they got jobbed by the "tuck rule." There was TRULY and air and edge teetering on violence in that crowd. No one sat the entire game and I did not see any Pats jersey in the crowd. I honestly would have feared for the safety of any Pats fan bold enough to wear a jersey in the crowd on THAT night. Good thing the Raiders won or the fans would probably have destroyed that place and a few of the Pats players as well.

    Giants Stadium
    Foxboro-2006 season WC game
Dolphins Stadium (or w/e you wanna call it) the MNF game from that same season
Georgia Dome-MNF, the year we were awful and Vinny came back to be the QB, we got killed.

    Craziest Atmosphere:
Wildcard game, I actually thought people were going to kill my dad.

    Giants Stadium
    Foxboro Stadium 2x
    Gillette Stadium 4x
    Dolphin Stadium 8x
    Hienz Field
Whatever stadium the Panthers play in
    RCA dome
    Oakland
    Jacksonville
    Lincoln Financial Stadium
    Lambeau Field
    Ford Field

As for the Atmosphere, I dont have one that sticks out. Pats at Jets this year was pretty good. The best might be Florida State at Miami in 2002 at the Orange Bowl.

    • At home vs. Buffalo (11/8/98): won, 34-12. On our way to another loss in the AFC Championship game...
    • At Indy (week 16, 12/27/09): won, 29-15. Jets would have won even if Manning et al. played the 4th quarter. There was a feeling in Lucas Oil Stadium that day that Colts fans were afraid of. My first Jets game with my dad. We had to wait 36 years for that day, but it was well worth the wait.
    • At Cincy (wildcard, 1/9/10): won, 24-14. Greene, Revis, and Sanchez electrified, cold weather be damned.
    • At Indy (AFC Championship, 1/24/10): lost, 30-17. Best season as a Jets fan. Most Colts fans we came across were jerks; most sitting around us didn't re-take their seats until late in the 3rd quarter... then they heckled us as we left after the 4th quarter without provocation... apparently they forgot '02 when we blasted them 41-0 in the playoffs. The loss stung, but we'll be back...

Aside from the Meadowlands......The Florida stadiums.......multiple times.

Worst ever was the '86 MNF 45-3 beatdown  night for a 12 year old who just moved to FL from NY..... aspirations of a 10-1 team dancing in my head.

The JAX blowout 2006 was bad too...... mostly because we had some A-holes sitting behind us. I just got hammered in the heat... another beer for each JAGS TD :drunk: The chick I just started dating hauled ass to the Bud Zone at the half...... (too bad, she was a hot surfer girl too)
much worse than watching them get spanked in 02 (when Chad came in for Vinny) At least that day we had fun and were sitting by cool folks..... last game with my Uncle Frank though. RIP

Best road game: Miami 2001. 24-0 1st home shutout for the fins since '79 (I think) Place felt like the Meadowlands by the end after all the teal squealed.....

Best home game: 1985 MNF vs the Dolphins. #12 was retired at the half and the JETS won.... sold for life after that night! :metal:

I've seen them in Indy twice -- a few weeks ago at Lucas Oil and many years ago at the RCA Dome, where I got to witness Aaron Glenn's FGA returned for a TD.

Was supposed to go see them play in Seattle last year when we visited in-laws, but we couldn't get up there with the blizzard.

    Aside from the Meadowlands

    TWA/Edward Jones Dome
    Sun Devil Stadium
    Qualcomm
    Oakland
    RFK Stadium
The Vet (Box Seats... I was also in my younger years)
    Invesco
    Candlestick (Garrison Hearst Game)

I was on my way to Dallas until my son decided to come a month early.

I may go to Cleveland this year. I've been there but didn't see the Jets, I saw the Jags. I've also seen a multitude of Cardinal and Charger home games.

I also saw the Saints and Panthers in New Orleans.

@ minnesota was the worst atmosphere, stupid fans and that horn is beyond annoying, although the jets won it was prob the least fun nfl game bc of all the dumb viking fans

also, when i was in cle and wearing the vilma jersey i was told that my mother should die several times, unacceptable behavoir for grown men, insult me, insult the jets, but in the words of ron burgandy, leave the mothers out of it

    •Shea Stadium, 1976-83
    •Giants Stadium, 1984-2009
•Foxboro Stadium, MNF 1998--Was cool, like a high school field, great view, lots of angry Boston drunks, Parcells hate.
•Ralph Wilson Stadium, Sat 1998--Awesome, wrapped up the first division title since the merger, crowd was fun, very cool.

    Non-Jet Games:

•Pittsburgh at Kansas City, SNF 1992: Steelers won, Rod Woodson took a punt back for a TD, two big chicks got in a fight in my section upstairs.
•LA Raiders at Miami, MNF 1992: Happened to be in town on business, a bunch of my NJ friends were there for game, Raider and Dolphin fans. I was rooting for the Raiders, they sucked. That was the game when Marcus Allen sulked on the sidelines all night on his way out of LA.

Was witness to awful Braylon drop against the Bills at the Rogers Center. Was my first NFL game so all in all a awesome experience.
