Agreed, if losing Feeley means we can sign a solid starter at another position (CB, DE, S if we lose Rhodes, etc.), it's something to consider, but if not we should do whatever it takes to bring Jay back. Just look at how guys like Graham and Kaeding basically singlehandedly destroyed their team's great seasons.

Definitely committed to everyone on the team including the staff and owners. I love to see that in a player. Jets need a guy like this around

If we're "shopping" I'd rather look at Shane Graham.

Seems as Feeley is just a perfect fit here in NY and w/ the JETS.

If were " Shopping" id rather look at solid vets like Neil Rackers or Jeff Reed over Graham

Feely has been pretty clutch the last few years. That is the most important and arguably the only stat that should matter.

Folk was cut because his confidence is trashed, he could return to his old form...but he could also go the way of Brien.

Not really worth the risk. Always good to have some competition in camp and a backup plan, but confidence is everything when it comes to a kicker, and we're pretty set with Feely.

The Jets are probably going to sign Feely.

    Agree RT.

Feeley has retirement then broadcast booth written all over him and is a mainstay on local radio. Stick with the Jets a year or two more with the possible bright future of this team...and hes an automatic in the booth.

All this talk is probably just trying to get his attention and it would not surprise me if a deal is done within the next month.

Folk was cut so we can sign him without losing someone, unlike the solid vets, but I hope this is only a ploy for negotiations with Feely.

Feely is a Jet, that's the best way to describe him.

Feely is supposed to be live on EPSN this weekend (forgot what show, but he phoned in to Espn first take this morning.)

Should be interesting to watch with all this going on

Shayne Graham is horrible. He also has been plagued with leg injuries the last few years.

I have been following this team since 1981, Feely is the best Kicker we have had in that timeframe and it's not really close. It would be a mistake to let him go.

This tryout is more likely to be a move to give the Jets a bit of leverage with Feely in terms of the ability to replace him while they try to hammer out a deal to bring him back.

After that ridiculous contract the Raiders just gave Janikowski, the average of the 5 highest paid kickers in the league likely just went up quite a bit.

Feeley was decent but definitely not automatic. How soon people forget the last Colts game and the Falcons game earlier this year. Definitely not a top 5 kicker but still solid.
