I'm not so sure they keep Sproles. He's a pending RFA who would be due $7.3 million if they tender him.

I agree with this actually. I would only want him if the price was right.

I don't particularly want Cromartie but that play on Greene is not why. There are no defensive backs in the NFL right now that would have done anything more than lay a finger on Greene as he hit that hole if they were coming from the angle Cromartie was. You don't hand tackle backs the size of Greene unless you want torn ligaments in your wrist or maybe worse.

I'm not saying he's of that calibur, but Deion couldn't tackle either.

I don't see what other running backs they could get for Cro. The problem is Tj is so old and clearly faded last year to the point where his value is in the toilet right now.

I think Tanny can work something out here, maybe Leon + late round pick (though he is similar to Sproles) or TJ + Shepaprd or something. Cromartie's fallen out've favor in SD but I still think he has a lot of potential, was a stud two years ago, and think he'd really benefit from playing opposite Revis.

Problem is, they have 2 CBs that are as good as Lito. Also, they are looking for a back that has little mileage. I'd like to have Cromartie, but we don't have the ammo.

A lot of CBs with a pass rush = beast.

What? If he hadn't slowed down he could have made a textbook rugby-style tackle and brought him down right there. Shoulder pad right into the left thigh, arms wrapped around, play over.

I'm soooo glad he didn't do that, by the way!

Reports are saying that the Bucs are front runners for him, their loaded at the RB position and they could use another CB because Barber is getting old.

No, the season he had 10 interceptions he was still awful.

He had good stats but he got burnt a LOT, he is talented and maybe he wouldn't be awful as a #3 CB, but I would definitely not give up Washington for him.

Shoot me down if im wrong here but just a suggestion, How about we trade our second and jones for there 3rd rounder and Cromartie

    2nd(61st pick)-292pts
    Jones

    3rd(91st pick)-136pts
    Cromartie

IMO it evens it self out but if you have a different opinion feel free to tweak it. I was considering a 4th for the chargers instead of a 3rd but i didnt feel it would amount to equal value IMO. I dont think theres anyone else on the Jets besides maybe Rhodes or Eric Smith that tha Chargers would want in return.

U mean a beast that is shy of tackling? Cromartie might even be worse than Rhodes from what I've seen (and I seen very little of him to be honest). Rhodes will lay him self down like a speed bump and expect others to catch up. If you're smart, you can actually jump over Rhodes. Cromartie will expect others to tackle and if they fail, he'll try to catch up. Pretty much opposite...and even more lame.

    *#3CB

Leons value is probably around maybe a mid to high 2nd rounder. If we tender him a second round pick, chances are he'd be gone. So what we are really offering the Chargers is a mid to high 2nd round pick value for Cromartie. I don't know if Jets should do this or not, but I'd be willing to take a chance on someone who can actually tackle as long as Rhodes is here. This is a physical D.

Well, judging from different sources, it seems like Cromartie has lost a step agains the other two Chargers CBs. So yeah, TJ and Lito should be enough. Of course, Chargers wanna get a little younger RB than Tomlinson so this won't happen. The value is there but Chargers issues won't go away.

    Holy crap w/the tackling.

Did he bitch out on that ONE PLAY? Of course.

Does he do that on a regular basis? Hopefully your CORNER BACK isn't the one responsible for tackling 230 pound running backing running a dive in the "A" gap very often. If he is your defense sucks anyway.

Tackling doesn't stop Peyton Manning from toasting you, coverage and a pass rush will.
