Mawae is deserving. What a pickup by Parcells years ago.

Even better was getting rid of him and drafting Mangold. Mawae is a right wing religous nut bag also

Very deserving! Mawae is still one of the best in the league. On a side note, I met Mawae in Vegas years ago, and the guy was really friendly and signed a bunch of crap for us.

Guy was awesome, his jersey should be on the wall in a few years. They got rid of him because he is a locker room lawyer and a big union guy. Mangini didn't want to deal with it.

You know its really too bad mangini didn't know how to handle assertive personalities or "locker room lawyers". we could've slid mawae to guard and had mangold at center. that would've surely helped in 2007. (adrian clarke)

of course clarke only started cause pete kendall was also shipped off for being a "locker room lawyer".

Yeah, it was announced a few weeks ago, but maybe nobody posted it here till today. No big deal.

The only thing that surprised me were the head coach selections only because I never saw HC selections for the previous all-decade teams. I imagine Bill Walsh and Joe Gibbs would have been the picks for the 1980s.

Mike Holmgren, Jimmy Johnson, and Bill Parcells would have probably been the top three vote getters for the 1990s. All three of them took multiple franchises to the postseason in the 1990s.

Again, maybe coach selections had been made for previous all-decade teams and I just never saw them. I had always assumed it was just a player thing.

He played half the decade (2005-2009).

Mel Blount and Ted Hendricks both made the 1980s all-decade team and each of them retired after the '83 season.

Look at Ty Law. He made the 2000s team and he really was not a top cornerback after the injury in 2004.

Three or four great years in a decade will put a guy in the mix for all-decade honors.

If Revis plays great from 2010-2013 and then drops off to just an average starting CB level for the rest of the decade or even if he has to retire between 2014 and 2019 due to injury, he would have an excellent chance at making the 2010s team.

While I am sure that there are a couple ommissions, almost all of the guys on the list look good. My only question is how the hell does Jamal Lewis get the nod over Priest Holmes?

I'm religious and conservative. By that logic, do you have a problem with me?
