I'm not a fan of Prima donna cornerbacks who are too cool to tackle. I love his athleticism, but he doesn't play with aggression. Someone should remind him that football is a physical game ever so often....or every day.
i am completely against trading for this guy.. he totally pussied out against the jets when was in position to tackle greene
I would also like to pass on this guy. I'll admit that I haven't seen much of him this past season besides a few games and his horrible performance against us in the most important game of their season. I just really don't like players that play like that in such a meaningful game.
I don't think TJ and Sheppard is enough, but I wouldn't want him on this team anyway. If you think Rhodes is a lazy vag, you ain't seen nothin'..
He is a Rhodes 2.0... an amazing talent that needs to put his head down to develop. If he does that he'd be worthy of a 2nd rounder... if he doesn't he ain't worth a 6th.
I think a lot of that has to do with them going from having a pretty good pass rush with Merriman on roids to average at best pass rush. Rex knows how to bring the heat.
if we can steal him ok. but he needs to adapt to our defensive mind frame. yes he would be an excellent cover corner.
Most of you fail on the multi-question/multi-poll voting. There are 4 questions, you should check 4 boxes.
oh i answered the only one that made sense. the deal we offer should be tj/sheppard combo, and, personally, i just dont think its enough to get it done. i would love if it worked out because AC would be a hell of a compliment to revis, but i just dont think we can get the deal done right.
He didn't have to "take him down"... while that would be nice (for SD) he could've just hit him and there's a good chance he doesn't break through that hole and someone else wraps him up. Then runs "after" him him to make that cheezy endzone bump to look like he was hustling in the play. LAME! Reminds me of someone else we know. I'm not complaining about his lack of effort though :chargers:
I'm surprised at the number of people who just don't want him. I'm guessing a lot of that has to do with the one play being shown in here. Bottom line is that if you're relying on your CB to tackle/slow down a bruising back running downhill in the "A" gap, you've probably already lost that game. It's his coverage skills with a pass rush that entice me.
They already have a "leon" on the team in Sproles and i'm sure wouldn't want to replace one 30something year old RB with another.
