So as many of you know every year Mayock (the analyst I prefer overall in the draft scene) puts out a top 5 for (almost) every position.

I like them for three reasons:

    1) It puts out the names of the most prominent players at each position (with more accuracy than anyone else in the biz)

    2) My bet is Mayock talks with a lot of pro teams (being on NFL network) because most often than not on draft day teams do what he predicts (at least as talent evaluation goes).

    3) I love the technical analysis and I think 90% it's spot on.

That said, should I put them all in the same thread or do you prefer to have one for each position? Only the DT one has come out now so atm it's easy... give it a thought and let me know.

    DT: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d8164db44/Mayock-top-5-DT

    Top 5: 1. McCoy, 1a. Suh, 3. Odrick, 4. Williams, 5. Price

Mentioned: Cam Thomas, Cody, Alualu, LaMarr Houston.

Definitely surprising with McCoy over Suh kind of wonder why he'd think that? MAybe an issue of less competition for Suh?

For Kiper/McShay, I'd say yes, that's the reason, but not so much for Mayock. He seems to really believe in where he has guys ranked. His lists have always differed in unique ways, but he'll really defend those differences to the death.

He explained in the video that he thinks they are both extremely good (in fact he ranks them 1 and 1a) but they have different skillsets and that it's a matter of personal taste (what skillset you think is more important).
He likes McCoy's better but he doesn't take anything away from Suh as he states he loves them both.

What do you guys think of Odrick? He might be around at #29...

    Mayock said they're equal.

I forget if it was on Playbook or NFLTA, but he said they are both #1, and you can rank each one #1. So I imagine he's going by alphabetical order of last name.

Didn't Mayock take a lot of shit a couple years back for not ranking Darren McFadden in the top 10? He's the best of the draft analyzers, no doubt, but I haven't heard anyone not have Suh at #1.

Well he has him at 1a... I think it's not a knock to Suh (he still thinks he's an elite player) but a compliment to McCoy.

I'm very curious to see the CB rankings...
