Sweet video - I'm glad a professional wideout can jump and catch - AMAZING!

People have to back up facts, not opinions.

I think you suck as a poster, and I don't have to back that up, because it's just my opinion.

Ah Electric...how many times do I have to tell you that you're nowhere near as clever as you think you are?

Deflect all you want dude...You're shocked that a professional level WR can jump and catch, but question a top NFL WR's physicality? Fuckin weird analysis man...I really don't get how you cement players so quickly....especially when you clearly have little visual evidence (Crabtree, Evans, probably Bryant too).

DWare - Lee Evans isn't a top NFL receiver...and if you think that, then I feel sorry for you.

i usually have similar opinions to mr e but i have to agree with dware on this one. ive been saying, for many years, that lee evans would be a top-15 wr in this league if he played in a halfway decent offense ... i think hes better than roddy white, who is often considered among the leagues best

I don't. Evans certainly hasn't matched his production, and White's only had good, consistent QB play for about half of a season.

    That would be your opinion.

In '08 and '06 Evans was one of the 5 best receivers in the league, and every year in between/around that he averages like 800/6...which is pretty damn good considering the garbage he plays for.

Not to mention his 15.8 career YPC is (probably, I didn't check) in the top 5-10 amongst active players with at least 300 catches.

    Just...

tru, but his overall offense systems have been waaaaaaaaaaay better than anything that lee evans has played in ... lee evans has been the only offensive threat on his team for a while

    Yea...no.

White has seen way better QB play in Atlanta than Evans has seen in Buffallo...Not to mention a dome in a warm city...

You forget about Terrel Owens and Marshawn Lynch? They're pretty good players.

I blame Buffalo's horrible offense on their quarterback situation - it's horrible.

Lee Evans faced a lot of #2 corners this season playing opposite T.O., and he only managed to catch 44 passes. That's got to be a mixture of shitty playcalling, horrible QB play, and Lee Evans.

Joey Harrington, Chris Redman, Byron Leftwich, and a rookie quarterback in Matt Ryan. Not any better than J.P. Losman, Trent Edwards, Drew Bledsoe, and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Ryan has been the only consistent starter in Atlanta since White's been there. He was up-and-down as a rookie, and he started off 2009 pretty well, but he was banged up and pretty damn awful during the last seven weeks of this season.

Lee Evans had a very good year in 2006, but he still wasn't a top five receiver - Donald Driver, Marvin Harrison, Chad Ochocinco, Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, and Roy Williams were all better.

In 2008, Evans wasn't even a top 15 receiver. I'll admit that Buffalo has horrible quarterback play, but calling him a top five receiver in 2008 is flat out wrong.

i said for a while, t.o. was there one year ... marshawn lynch, really? talk about overrated ... IMO white has had better qb's (vick, ryan >> loseman, edwards, fitz), better rb's (turner, dunn > lynch, jackson), better te's (crumpler, gonzales >> who have the bills had at te?), better o-line and a better offensive philosophy

and ryan fitzpatrick forced sooooo many passes to t.o. this year that you cant possibly blame lee evans for this years output

edit: i forgot about mcgehee but that still doesnt change my rb statement

I completely agree with you that Roddy White has a better supporting cast, but you can't deny that White's been more productive, even with shitty QBs like Harrington and Redman throwing to him.

I'm not blaming Lee Evans for his poor production in 2009, but it's stupid to call him a top tier receiver, when the guy opposite him is the one getting passes forced his way.

Who gives a shit about Lee Evans? Give it up and move on.

Don't take a receiver in the first unless it's a stud, which I don't think Tate is. He could be one, just as Harvin could have been one last year, but it was risky.

We were a game away from the Super Bowl with a ground and pound offense and a great defense. While Sanchez matures, improve the great defense to unbelievable, and we can win that way.

Edwards and Cotchery are a fine 1-2 combination, and if they aren't, then we'll replace Edwards after this season. No need to worry about it now, unless a Dez Bryant falls.

All we need is a slot receiver and another tight end, and our offense is fine if Sanchez develops.

i cant deny whites numbers, but like you said earlier, opinions dont need stats

and they werent forcing the ball to t.o. because he was clearly the better wr, they were forcing it cause hes a little bitch when he doesnt get the rock!

Moore is an RFA again this season because of the rule changes. There's no reason for New Orleans not to tender him with a 2nd rounder again. I'd rather not give up our 2nd rounder for him after his production fell off with injury this past season, but you never know.

    Andre Johnson
    Calvin Johnson
    Reggie Wayne
    Randy Moss
    Steve Smith
    Greg Jennings
    Larry Fitzgerald
    Brandon Marshall
    Anquan Boldin
    Vincent Jackson

All those guys are better then Lee Evans and that's not even including guys like Sidney Rice and Desean Jackson who haven't been on the scene for that long.

Mike Mayock was calling him Taylor Heyward-Price during Senior Bowl week...supposedly he was dropping everything.

I think Price would be a nice developmental prospect in the 6th or 7th rounds though - he's definitely got a lot of speed.
