I know it?s early, but after the season ended yesterday I figured it was the best time. While I looked at our picks and what we needed these are the guys I want. Although I bet we trade down for more picks this year considering the depth. Just raw ideas?.who do you guys want if we stand pat with these picks with no trading down or up?

#29-Patrick Robinson- CB FSU-- Read & React: Good instincts for the position. Reads the receiver and is athletic enough to mirror routes. Willing to take gambles and will bait the quarterback. Showed better focus as a senior. Aggressively attacks the line on outside runs and wide receiver screens.
Man Coverage: Lanky athlete with long arms. Built to play press coverage. Aggressive use of hands at the line of scrimmage helps knock receivers off routes. Good low, tight backpedal. Good balance and foot quickness to turn and mirror the receiver's route.
Zone Coverage: Good low, tight backpedal. Good route recognition for zone coverage. Reads the quarterback's eyes and closes quickly. Needs to improve his discipline in zone coverage, as he too often trusts his eyes and can wander out of his zone.
Closing/Recovery: Explosive burst to close toward the passer. Shows a legitimate second gear to recover if beaten initially. Former wide receiver with natural hands for the interception. Can pluck the ball outside of his frame and secures it quickly. Competes well for the jump ball. Times his leaps and has explosive athleticism. Natural playmaker with good vision for the return. Elusive and has very good straight-line speed to pull away.
Run Support: Looks smaller on film than his listed size. Has a cover corner mentality -- steers clear of head-on physical contact in run support. Will make the tackle when needed, but isn't likely to throw his body into the ballcarrier. Showed improved recognition of the sweep as a senior, rushing up to the line of scrimmage to beat the block and make the tackle behind the line. Will struggle to take down bigger ballcarriers. Will grab on, but is too often taken for a ride until teammates arrive to clean up.
Tackling: Efficient wrap-up tackler in the open field. Breaks down in space and isn't afraid to take on the bigger man, though he typically relies on duck-and-swipe type tackles. Quick, active hands to rip the ball away. Forced two fumbles in 2009.
Intangibles: Has all the tools. However, he hasn't developed into a true standout and has minimal starting experience (24 starts in 44 career games). Suspended for four games (2008 Music City Bowl, first three games of 2008) for his role in the Florida State academic scandal. Good special teams player with experience as kickoff and punt returner and with a blocked kick and blocked PAT (returned it for two points) to his credit.
    NFL Comparison: Eric Wright, Browns

#61 Jerry Hughes- OLB TCU---Read & React: Good instincts with a nose for the ball. Lacks elite timed speed but is quick to close when a lane to the quarterback or ballcarrier opens. Recognizes misdirection and stays at home to contain the edge.
Run defense: Undersized defensive end likely to move to linebacker. Pushed around on plays run at him, but has enough leverage and length to disengage from tight ends or fullbacks and chase when the ballcarrier bounces outside. Hustles downfield and through trash inside to make tackles -- promising if he plays linebacker. Avoids cuts and when he doesn't avoid, he can recover quickly enough to chase down backs five or six yards downfield.
Pass defense: Drops into zones at times. Not exceptionally fluid or quick but has just enough speed and change-of-direction agility to stay with running backs and tight ends in the flat -- and run with them down the sideline. Can make the easy catch for the interception and knock the ball away from backs when in coverage.
Tackling: Explosive tackler in the backfield. Good length to wrap up and chops the ball out of the hands of ballcarriers. Usually takes correct angles in pursuit. Breaks down in space, getting a good part of even the more elusive backs.
Pass Rush/Blitz: Relentless chaser of the quarterback, even when facing double- and triple-team blocks. Turns the corner using quickness to get under the shoulder of the tackle. Reaches in to knock the ball out of the quarterback's hands even if engaged. Can push some tackles into the backfield using his leverage to bull rush under the pads of bigger, taller blockers. Gets caught up in trash when twisting but gives good effort to fight through. Did take advantage of slow college right tackles (lines up on the strong side despite his lack of size) and an aggressive defense to get his sack numbers. Relies on pure speed and must learn how to have violent hands to beat NFL tackles. Will need some variation in his pass-rush moves.
Intangibles: Respected by his teammates. Fiery on the field and plays with attitude through the whistle. Willing to participate on special teams despite his All-America reputation. Coaches give him accolades for his work ethic during practice and in the offseason. Think Larry English.

    #189 Brandon Deaderick DE Alabama
    Height: 6-4 | Weight: 287 | Position:DE | College: Alabama

I saw this guy play some in College and he is a beast. I would like to see him as a DE and most NFL scouts agree as he is a 3-4 end in the NFL. He does have a spotty past that included being shot two times this past years and arrested once. Great value at this stage in the draft.

    #221-Chris Scott
    Height: 6-5 | Weight: 346 | Position:OT | College: Tennessee
Wasn?t the best LT in the SEC this year. Got beat by speed rushers but is a mauling run blocker with a mean streak. I see him as a RT in the NFL and the anchor of the run game.

There's a draft forum for stuff like this...but make sure people can actually read it before you post it in there - I don't want a headache.

By the way, Patrick Robinson's middle name should be Toast.

Your post is a mock draft...it belongs in the draft forum.

Why would we want to draft a top 20 corner in the first round, when we can do that in the 6th round? You don't draft a player in the first round, hoping he'll be a middle-of-the-pack player at his position.

Robinson proved this year that he can't handle covering bigger receivers - watch the Miami game, he got worked the entire game.

...and also, if you're getting your information from another website - provide a link.

No numbnutz...a top NFL 20 Corner in 2 years. We can do that in the 6th round? really? He did get worked vs Miami. But he is raw bro. What was the knock on SD drafting Cromartie in the back end of the 2007 draft? How did that work out. You can teach certian things, but you cant teach size and speed.

Go to the draft forum - there's a ton of stuff on all of these guys...you'll be busy for days, and hopefully you won't make anymore threads.

Antonio Cromartie suffered a serious injury the year he was drafted. The only thing he and Patrick Robinson have in common is playing corner at Florida State. He was drafted 19th overall because he absolutely dominated the combine.

Robinson is 5'11 193, while Cromartie is 6'2 203...you're right, you can't coach size and speed.
