I totally agree about Shipley, and that's coming from an Okie. I think Tate has alot of talent as well. I would prefer D, but those are 2 guys I like.

Tate is a monster. If he's there, you have to take him. But he won't be. So we can talk about something else.

No and no. For the guy that said we have nothing after Cotch and Edwards, what about Keller? Plus, throw in Leon and a slot receiver is not worth a first round pick when our secondary, except Revis, got exposed against the Colts. There's no way Lito comes back and we need someone to bring pressure without have to live and die with the blitz.

CB and or pass rusher in 1st round...

In the first round it really should be Best Player Available. Now sometimes your need could meet BPA and that would be awesome!!

The problem is we really wont know if its the best player available until 3 years later. See Vernon Gholston.

If we could get Freddie Barnes in the later rounds id be incredibly excited about that.

Even when we took the ghost, no one thought he was the best player available. He was a project, and it obviousely did not work.

That said, I think a safer pick would be a CB or pass rusher (which is what we need the most). But I wouldn't mind taking Tate his potential is through the roof and an electrifying slot reciever would really help Sanchez's progress.

I agree... in the first round it's BPA at a position of need (there are always multiple).

I've come to the point where I hope we trade down a get a CB with our first pick.

I like Tate but I'm not so sure about drafting him so high.

A pass rusher wouldn't be a safe pick due to it being somewhat of a project yet again

thats why if the Jets feel that Tate is Percy Harvin like then I'd take him. I know our lack of a good 2nd corner was exposed but that was against Peyton Manning. We still had the #1 pass defense by a large margin.

I want Sanchez to have as many weapons as possible.

A project is still a project and with the few ways we can improve this offseason a miss with our 1st rounder is a bad way to go.

I feel that in the first round you draft players who can fit into a starters role.
So in the first I'd DE or OLB, unless Williams from USC is on the board (pure chemistry reasons).
But if I had to go wideout I'd go (Williams, Tate, Shipley)

With Cotchery and Edwards on the team I don't like the idea of burning one of our only two picks in the first four rounds on a WR in round one.

I really think this should be the draft where we trade down for a change.

I see your point, but I disagree I think we need 3 talented WR's to help sanchez out. also i'd like to see sanchez have all the weapons he needs.
