He skipped the Senior Bowl so he wouldn't fall even more than he already has. At the beginning of the season, this guy was a supposed top five pick. Now, he's a late-first, early second rounder.

Wait, I thought you said he was a late second rounder that I drafted in the first round. So now you like the pick?

By the time things are said and done, I think Trent Williams will fall into the mid-to-late second round. Right now, he's a late first, early second round prospect...before the combine and private workouts. Besides the obvious guys like Russ Okung and Bryan Bulaga, offensive linemen like Charles Brown, Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati, Vladimir Ducasse, Kyle Calloway, Selvish Capers, and Maurkice Pouncey could and should all move ahead of Williams

No, I don't like the pick. Baltimore doesn't need offensive tackles. I don't give a damn if Joe Thomas/Jake Long caliber left tackles are on the board when they pick, that team is in desperate need of receivers. Joe Flacco is going to fail miserably as a starting quarterback if they don't get him some guys to throw to. They drafted Mike Oher last year, so they could draft skill positions in 2010.

Like I said in the other thread, Ozzie Newsome is one of the best GMs in the game. He's been building that offensive line for years. They are young, solid, and they already have enough money invested into that wall of men.
