http://www.pastapadre.com/2010/02/02/info-on-the-madden-11-cover-candidates Doritos is giving us 3 players to vote on to see who becomes the cover boy for Madden 11. All 3 have played in the playoffs this year. It could be possible that Revis is option but my guess would be Brees, Peterson, and Manning but who knows. And I don't want to here about the Madden curse it's a bunch of BS. Who do you think will be the 3 choices?
I think players have a final say even if they're the favorite amongst the bunch to appear on the cover. I hope Revis is smart enough to turn it down.
Ray Lewis broke the madden curse already. Anyone who honestly believes in curses is totally out of their mind.
No, he didn't. He had a decent season, but he had a lot of legal trouble that year and he wasn't nearly as productive. Also, Ray Lewis missed 10 games the next season. I don't think it's a curse, it's just a shit load of coincidences.
This is just random speculation. Can you point out where exactly it listed Revis as a possibility? Are you just guessing?
Someone who was in the playoffs is all I could gather. So that narrows it down to 636 players in the pool. You can narrow it down further by taking just the stars from the 12 playoff teams and probably eliminating Fitzgerald because he was on it last year.
I thought the Madden curse was when you get hurt and miss a lot of games THAT season. Him having legal trouble, missing games the season after, and being less productive because his defensive line was terrible have nothing to do with the "madden curse"
http://www.pastapadre.com/2010/02/03/more-madden-11-cover-candidate-info the names will be revealed tomorrow but here are some clues I can't see them picking anyone from the defensive side other than Revis and so he will be the only guy still playing on the team that drafted him, so I say Revis, Brees, and Moss(bad past) maybe. I didn't think about Jared Allen he could be another.
No - the curse doesn't have to be in THAT season. Eddie George had a great year when he was on the cover, and then the next season he failed to rush for 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. Barry Sanders retired a year after he was on the cover. Garrison Hearst had an outstanding season, then broke his ankle in the playoffs - he missed two full seasons because of this break. Ray Lewis also failed to intercept a pass for the first time in his career the season he was on the cover.
