You guys are so full of crap, 75% of you who put you would never turn would be calling for his head if we got out to a 1-4 start next year. Look how many people loved Mangenius his first season, and then were calling for his head. We are a fickle bunch for sure. That said I think Rex is the best coach we've had since Parcells, and hope he's with us for the long haul.

Ochocinco was on WFAN this morning and he said that he likes what Rex did and said that he's a real Players Coach.

There's a difference between a big Mouth coach that doesn't know what he's doing and a Big Mouth Coach that is the MAD SCIENTIST...

There are few coaches in this league that inspire players like Rex - Coaches that have players on the edge of their seats waiting to hear the weekly game plan....

YOU DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON COACHES THAT ARE MASTERMINDS....

You look into WHY the team isn't performing and more often than not with a coach like this it's injuries.....

I said this before the season, I said this when they started winning and I said this when they went on a losing streak.....

If you don't recognize a MASTERMIND Head Coach and differentiate him from any Blowheard with a mike then I think you're a Football Illiterate and that goes for every one of those Radio Idiots.

Mangini Coached a defense that couldn't get out of it's own way at times and held players back... I blame that whole collapse on Mangini and a defense that sat there and let marginal QB's pick him apart weekly.... Rex would never go down like that without taking the bat off his shoulders and swinging for the fences.

I'm a Mangini fan to this day and think he's a great evaluator of talent above all else...

But, Mangini is FAR from the COACH that Rex Ryan is...

I wouldn't trade him for anyone - I'd sign him up for 10 years right now and let him coach like Cowher was allowed to coach....

I'm onboard with Rex for a while now. I'll give him at least two down seasons in a row before I jump ship.

We gave Joe Walton 6 seasons of mediocrity, I can live with Rex for a while.

I'm right here... I'd have to see specifics on a healthy team and coaching liek Mangini did at the end of his last year when he played prevent defense every week...

Mangini never had awe inspoiring game plans that players ate up....

This is many many levels above anything Mangini brought to the table coaching wise.

No doubt....never is a very strong word. I dont mind anything he has done or said, I love the attitude. However if he doesnt coach a consistently good team he will be turned on quickly, its the nature of the beast. This would happen anywhere though, I think its unfair to pinpoint Jets fans.

That and Rex didn't have to build his D from scratch...just add another ILB, S, and CB.

I think Rex could make Victor Hobson relevant.

Let's sign him and find out!

You can't possibly be suggesting that Mangini is even remotely close to the caliber of coach that Rex is?

Don't kill me when i say this, but I compare rex to ozzie guillen, when he wins no one cares about the personality, but if we do bad, it will rain shit

no he is not saying that at all, but other then the gohlston pick, mangini (and tanny) did a good job evaluating talent....ive always thought mangini isnt as bad of a coach as people make him out to be, even last year in cleveland he had no talent and they were at least competitive in a lot of the games last year, that said i would take rex over mangini 100% of the time

I voted for the first, and Rex seems to know when to talk trash and when to not say anything

I've always given him credit for helping put together a quality roster even though I have no idea how much input he had in that. His gameday coaching was average at best though, and that's being kind IMO.

Honestly, I've always felt Mangini is a "smart" coach. But "smart" does not equal "good."

    That's my point.

And sorry to the people who say I made a stupid poll, I guess I should've put a "yes I'll turn on Rex"...But I figured the Cowher option was good enough. My BAD.

Your 2nd sentence is what I'm harping on. I echo what you say and hope that we have the patience for a guy who most of feel is "the guy" if things aren't as easy as we want them to be.
