Ummm, what? This is a New York team, not an Indianapolis team. Yearly budget in NY far out weighs than that with most teams. We have ALWAYS been one of the highest spenders with a salary cap issues all around us. I doubt if we still spend 117 mil a yr in uncapped years when we can not sign any FA. A first of Aso would be awesome. A second this yr with a conditional fourth to first next yr wouldn't be too bad either. With the Jets, its not much about where to bring the cash from. Woody can afford a few Mannings and Bradys, problem is where do you find them?

It says we have been talking to Rex Ryan about it. Not the same thing as Rex Ryan calling up Aso. Aso and Revis can dream all they want. They are friends and talking about playing on the same team is not tampering. When Revis talks to Rex, its not tampering. But if Rex calls up Aso and starts saying "hey we need you here, how would you like the opportunity..." that would be tampering, which obviously is not the case (yet).
If Woody doesn't mind forking out a ton of cash this year; we could front load Revis's new contract as well as new contract for Harris and Mangold. Does anyone know how this works under the CBA? Can we choose for signing bonuses to all go on this year instead of being spread out over the length of the contract? If it is allowed, we could front load these guys and do the same for Asomugha.
