Had some time to kill last night and thought I would let some friends dissect my thoughts. Some of you will probably think Cody is too high, but I think a guy with that kind of size will intrigue someone in the first round. Tennessee would be a good fit as they are still looking for that defensive lineman that will allow them to be effective with their four guys up front. A lot of their problems on defense were the result of not being able to get pressure on the QB with their front four. Also a guy this big could be a great run stopper. Tate in San Fran? Would make them very explosive. If Oakland has a brain then they will get an OT this time. Taylor Mays on the Giants makes sense. I think Capers is this years Loadholt and we (Colts) need to upgrade our offensive line. We have too many issues coming our way. I would love to see us use our first two picks on the offensive line. Colt McCoy in Minnesota makes sense too. Rip it apart. I will change my mind on everything later anyway. It's too late to provide any real analysis, so I'll put a rain check on that, but I will say that Patrick Robinson is pretty terrible. Go ahead and switch that to Perrish Cox before anyone realizes and everything will be OK.
If my pick for the Jets can make the Jets fans groan and boo then I am probably on the right track.
haha good point there... It's definitely too early to tell but I think it is a pretty solid mock When it comes down to the draft I doubt Taloy Mays goes 15 to the Giants..although they clearly need to add to that secondary
I have a lot of issues with this, but let me first say about the Colts, you realize that the top 3 corners on your team are going to be free agents this offseason
Golden Tate way too high, no? I know San Francisco would love to get another young playmaker on that offense but too early for Tate
I think Cleveland takes Dez Bryant if he falls to them. He's a top 5 pick, and watching him fall to 12 there was brutal. Can't see the 49ers wanting Tate after taking Crabtree and having Morgan, a guy they're high on. I guess I'd be alright with Patrick Robinson. He'll probably be a good pro...
The guy seems like a Rex type of guy though. Great run stopper/tackler, very aggressive, at times too aggressive but that's where Rex comes in.
Jamar Wall from Texas Tech could be a great pickup late. I think he would compliment Revis well, he is great in man to man just needs to become more aggressive.
Always saw Robinson as one of those 1st round talent but not deserving of a 1st round pick types. However, I will admit that he looked awfully good during Senior Bowl week. The physical tools are there. With good coaching and his own personal commitment, he can be a terrific CB. But that can be said about a lot of players. Either way I wouldn't surprised if he were to get drafted late first or possibly a bit higher. CB is a premium position, this is not a very talented CB class and he'll probably light it up at the combine and pro-day.
